Vegan Vampire is an addiction story about a Vampire trying to quit blood. My original inspirations being films such as: Withnail & I, trainspotting and lost boys. It has been a long project for me, originally writing the short story of the same name in my second year of college. I then adapted this idea into a 5 minute script for the script writing module in year 1 of uni; and finally decided to pitch it this year after 3 years of development.
In my universe, Vampires don’t need to drink blood to survive, it is their alcohol. There are two types of Vampires. Normal Vampires go out at night and hunt victims with their mates. However, Blood Hoarders sit around all night drinking Bottled Blood, which they sores of Blood Dealers.
The narrative follows Miller, a Vampire in a rut, as he tries to overcome his addiction.
It has been a long project, but I am very proud of the results. Well done to all my cast and crew, hope you enjoy!
