It’s Day 5 of our Orlando vacation! We went to Universal’s Islands of Adventure today. We started the morning rope dropping Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure.
Afterwards, we grabbed some Butterbeer and rode the rest of the Harry Potter rides before moving on to Jurassic Park. Velocicoaster was one of the most anticipated parts of our vacation and it did not disappoint.
We at lunch at Burger Digs before exploring the rest of the park. Around mid-afternoon we had finished everything and started riding some favorites again before grabbing dinner at The Three Broomsticks.
The park closed at 7 PM and we went back to our resort, the Loews Royal Pacific.

Benjamin was so funny in this video. 😂 In the background he’s having a blast running through the park and then you ask him how is day is going and he’s like I’m actually not going to talk. 😂 I haven’t been to Universal with my daughter (457 days but who’s counting) and I can not wait to see her reactions. We’ve been to Disneyland but it will be her first time at both Disney World and Universal Studios.

Havent been to Universal in Florida yet but I rmbr for Hollywood having to use lockers and all their stricter than Disney policies were something I hated! I loved all the Thing Family shirts! I do have an Alice in Wonderland teacup similar to the Thing one you shared but it only has 1 handle!
Another great video Traver! We were just at Universal and WDW in March for Spring Break and stayed one night at the Royal Pacific specifically for the 2 days of Express pass. It is such a game changer! To be able to get on almost any ride without the long waits at anytime really takes so much of the stress and craziness out of a theme park day! Hey just a quick couple of questions for you: How would you rank the 4 big new coasters after having just done them (Hagrids, Velocicoaster, Tron and Guardians)? Also, would you rank either of the 2 Universal parks ahead of any of the 4 WDW parks? Thanks again!
Meta smart glasses would be so useful on the park if you want to film on some of the rides.
I have to agree with james that Velocicoaster is the best ride i have ever ridden over any disney ride.

We’re not going to Universal on our next trip because we’ll only have 5 days and they’ll be for Disney, but this video is making me regret it :(( Universal is so much fun! But I still prefer the Disney Magic 🩷

This trips videos are super helpful. we are doing 11 days in Nov at the Boardwalk. And our son is 47.5 inches right now so, he'll be 48 like your son by then. This definitely has me buying Express Pass

Theyve changed the rules now bc shocker people had to ruin it by allowing bribes, but they used to let you walk through the ride exits if you knew a worker at universal! No joke i once skipped a big line for gringotts by saying “im a friend of (their name)” it was great

We stayed at RP too. It was great. I love the security situation from the premiere hotels, I did not like their big bussing terminal security at all! We did one night at Dockside and had to take the bus. Ugh. Not really a big universal fan because we don’t like big coasters or screen rides!
Saw the King Kong animatronic maquette on recent Disney auction. It's neat there is a Disney connection to the King Kong animatronic. Their Jurrassic Park land offers so much more than Hollywood. Would love to visit Universal in Florida.
When I rode Hulk it made me motion sick, and I had already taken motion sickness meds earlier in the day. I'm glad Amy opted out.
I need an ECV for mobility and I saw a lot of stairs. How is the accessibility at Universal? Disney is always easy to figure out.
The majority of park guests go to the City Walk restaurants for dinner instead of eating inside the parks.

RotR at Batuu is the most impressive to me, and the second best is Gringott's, Hagrid and other coasters are cool, but they don't immerse me enough to have the same appreciation. If I had to pick the MOST immersive coaster, it's Everest
