hi
mailtime mailtime historic travels gonig open mail!
Oh good, my letter made it! I was starting to wonder. 😉
Seriously, you do an amazing job with your channel. You inspire us, and we in turn try to inspire others. Keep it up! ❤
Hey Sam! I was the one who sent you that postcard from 1911 (And it is the Mauretania) . I actually found that in a antique store and thought of you. I hope it wasn’t damaged during shipping. Hope you enjoy!
Hi Sam I'm glad you like the postcard. I didn't actually get to see the titanic artifacts they were there last year but according to the website they were still there that wasn't the case sadly.
12:25 Glad to see that book again, I remember reading that back in my early years of school but then I forgot the name as years went by, glad to see it again 🙂
All three menus will be on their way soon.
Your video or what Inspired me to love the titanic again
Happy Birthday Sam! I’m a huge fan of your channel! I loved Titanic ever since I was a little boy. Ever since the 1997 movie Titanic came out, I been fascinated and started to draw it, get books, the movies themselves, the models, almost everything you can think of. I also got the Sea Of Glass book you talked about thanks to you. Keep making videos and I would love to see and meet you in person one day! I’m a big Titanic enthusiast. You truly touched my life and made me want to learn even more about the Titanic than ever before! I plan to start drawing Titanic again soon (hopefully, since it’s been years since I last drew anything really, lol) and once I’m done I could send one to you, but we see. 🙂
Hey Sam! Were you thinking of making more of those "What if" Titanic videos? Bc I have an idea for one: What if instead of striking an iceberg, the Titanic was capsized by a rogue wave, like in The Poseidon Adventure?
You are one of my favorite YouTubers and I have loved researching on the titanic ever since 2018 and I love your livestreams and try to make it to every single one. Happy birthday
I notice that there’s a blank grey wall behind you you should put some pictures up there in frames
Thinking about redrawing Titanic one day and I'll probably mail a copy of it to Sam.
I'm from WV to, Great video man keep up the good work
So Sam, We heard a bang and you could feel it bit it was just a small shudder. Then everything stopped and all power was lost.
About a minister that the announcements started. There were a lot of pets below decks in the care ferry area. So passengers were allowed give the animals extra food but they were not allowed to take them. We had no idea then how long we would be off the ship.
The ship was dead in the water and we found out later it was a very dangerous area.
The coast guard was actually doing some training really close to us and was there very quickly.
We didn't get into the lifeboats since there was another ferry also close so it was determined to stay on the ship.
That when the ships were lashed together.
The planks to walk across from one ship to the other were put between the ships at the huge doors that were used to bring the cars on.
Was quite scary since there was absolutely no info passrd to us.
I'll type up a more detailed account and I have some copies of local newspaper accounts I'll send you.
The entire stoyis quite incredible. I'll do my best to answ6all your questions.
Take care and thanks for all you do.
I love your videos Sam, Happy Birthday.
Hi Sam, I was very glad to see you got my three packages, I'm not much of a letter writer, sorry, I'm retired from the entertainment business, mostly 30 years of Star Trek and NASA astronauts, a few months ago I was googling Titanic as I have been fascinated since I was a teen, and that is how I discovered your YouTube channel, at first I started to wonder what does a young person know about the Titanic, and after watching about a dozen of your documentaries, you won me over with great respect. I have mailed you one more item, which is a photo of me with one of my many guests that appeared in my shows, I hope you will enjoy it, it's of me with Millvina Dean who did a show for me about 7 years before she passed away. So I guess this is the letter that you were looking for. Also, BTW, I have been on 37 cruises starting in the 1980's. Keep making those YouTube videos. Thanks.
Many Historic item added to sam’s collection
Great vid as always!
What a great collection of items…and I loved your reactions to everything. It's clear how genuinely touched you are to receive gifts from your viewers.
As another Star Trek fanatic (DS9 is my favourite), I completely understand your reaction to those amazing autographed photos!! 😊
Yes, you should do a video on Lucian and Eloise Smith! I interviewed an author who has written a book about Eloise and her two husbands for my Titanic documentary. I’ll have to see if I can find the transcript again for you. Eloise’s story is a sad but fascinating life she had 😊
You're really lucky, Sam 🚢
So, im not sure if i do have it but, i think i have a copy of the titanic postcard im not sure cuz I think I lost it for a long time and found it, but at the time i first got it i didn't know what a postcard was, since i wasn't that good at english back then.Nice vid!
Actually titanic or olympic idk ima get it when i get back at home
Sam got so excited when he found the couple from West Virginia lol
Hey Sam! I'm glad you liked the print of the drawing! No worries on the frame, it was an old cheap frame anyway (probably why it got noped in shipping) 😅
Sam – I am easily double your age and have mentioned this before:
I studied the Titanic in Jr. High before we knew she split in two.
I also watched the movie 'Raise the Titanic' way back when and have to laugh that I thought it could be possible to raise her like they did.
I am glad to see that you have many others who are younger than me who have the same enthusiasm that I do for these old ships. Keep up the good work!
Did they have a bell in the crows nest like the movie? Why shout if they rang the bell?
