Love Island USA Recap Episodes 10-12: Standing on Shaky Ground?

Join Alex and Elizabeth as they discuss the highlights of the episodes (10-12) of Love Island USA Season 5 that aired over the weekend.
The show’s recent episodes dealt with an interesting saga involving contestants Carmen and Victor. The sequence of events leading to Victor’s eviction saw viewers go through a whirlwind of emotions. Many were initially anxious about who would be saved, Carmen or Victor. However, when Victor was in fact sent packing, the feeling swiftly flipped to regret, with some viewers wishing the decision had gone the other way around. The turbulence didn’t end there. Soon after Victor’s departure, Carmen began expressing doubts about her partner, causing shockwaves in the villa. Her actions swiftly polarized the audience, casting her in a rather unfavorable light. This takes us to the pressing question – if the female contestants don’t really like Carmen, why did they vote to save her?
Girl Code: The Anna, Leo and Kassy Triangle
Another intriguing storyline revolves around the Anna, Leo, and Kassy triangle. This storyline exemplifies the delicate balance required for navigating relationships on Love Island. While Anna seems to uphold the girl code ethos, it doesn’t seem like Kassy shares the same mindset. Promising Relationships: Hannah and Marco
In the midst of this drama, a refreshing change of pace is the budding relationship between contestants Hannah and Marco. They have become firm favorites among viewers, primarily due to their palpable chemistry. It’s evident they are both serious about their feelings for each other and are taking the competition seriously. There’s an element of genuine affection coupled with mutual respect that gives promise to their evolving bond.
New Bombshells: Stirring up the Villa
The sudden arrival of three new bombshells into the Love Island villa undoubtedly stirred things up. Notably, Emily’s entrance made significant waves, with her expressing interest in Keenan, Marco, and Harrison. The fallout from this unexpected twist is yet to be seen, but one thing’s for sure – love Island USA won’t be short of thrilling moments this season.
Marco at the Center of Attention
Following Victor’s eviction, the villa’s dynamics have taken a significant turn as new bonds are formed, tested, and challenged. Particularly noteworthy is the newfound interest in Marco – who has, till now, been a firm part of one of the most adored couples on the show with Hannah. Marco’s credibility was put to the test when Emily expressed her interest in him, prompting discussions among the other female contestants.

A Shaky Ground
Newcomers entering the villa have made the atmosphere quite turbulent. The recent entrance of Emily, Kenzo, and Jonah changed the dynamics significantly. It’s a restart and a constant readjustment for the contestants who must navigate the ever-shifting relationships while remaining committed to their pursuit of love. Surprisingly, the perceived villains of the villa are not as black-and-white as they appear initially. Victor, who was seen as the antagonist early on in the show, is now raising questions among the audience if his eviction was justified. As we anticipate further surprises and drama, it reminds us that no one on Love Island is really safe, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

  1. So, considering that Anna made her feelings quite known to both Leo and Kassy, why is she still getting upset every time they make out? It's like, you've all moved on, why can't she let them? Kinda like divorced people dating? Are they supposed to wait until after the divorce comes through? lol.

  2. Anna ended it with Leo and then ended it with Kassy. Therefore, that opens up Leo and Kassy to make out and get to know each other now. So how can Anna be mad? She wants Leo to wait until the recoupling? How else are they supposed to build their connection?

  3. Anna is so lost. Her pillow fort seemed cute and flirty. Like she wishes Leo would fight for her. She messed up by saying it’s over. None of these people know that couples argue🤷🏽‍♀️.

Leo selling Harrison to Carmen! What?! You know Des is there for you advising you and you know she’s happy with him. Why not give pointers without being a Bergie and saying Harrison said.

Marco and Hannah might ride to the end. Marco seems like a lazy bf and Hannah accepts it.

Carmen…..should’ve gone in place of Vic. She’s worse then he was.

I worry about the next re-coupling. If bombshells get first pick all the good couples are at risk. If they do the not picked goes home like UK did Des, Marco or KayKay could go instantly. 😮

If they don’t Harrison best to pick Des. If not he’s a dirt bag because he’s still all over her in place of pulling back. She’d be shocked.

  4. As soon as he left, the whole villa I feel like fell apart and that's when things got divided. I definitely now think they should have saved Victor cuz I'm really starting to feel like Carmen is just playing a game and doesn't exactly know what she wants. She just wants to stay sage no matter what she has to do to accomplish it

  5. The curse of the hideaway! After the two islanders get intimate in the hideaway, a bombshell comes in to mess them up! This year Keenan, Kay Kay, and Emily. Sydney, Isaiah, and Casa Amor. I believe Josh, Shannon, and someone else!

  6. How are you gonna say you love this season when a couple episodes ago you were going in on how you cannot connect to the season, that UK is so much better, and you want a whole new cast bc the current cast is too immature. I don’t get the shift at all

  7. the anna – harrison banter has had me side eyeing anna a little bit between her begging him to make her breakfast one day and then the shower comment😫 to top it all off with that kiss i wouldn’t be mad at it tho just hope mr prince harry goes about it the right way

  8. Nah Bergie gotta go. This show isnt right for him, and Im tired of watching his pep talks with auntie Hannah. Anna gotta go too. She's selfish, entitled, and never closes her mouth lol. Its like she forgot how she was moving when Leo was "coupled up" with Kassy. Its the lack of self awareness….

  9. Carmen should have gone! Editing skews everything so they made Victor look like such a villain when I think Carmen actually was using Bergie to stay. Her part time gigs as bartender/model/nanny weren’t cutting it so she needed to stay.

  10. The game is the game. Maybe Carmen WAS playing Bergie. But if she was legitimately interested, I believe her reasoning as to why she friend-zoned him. He was visibly afraid when she confronted Victor, and couldn't even speak afterwards. He doesn't have to be a fighter…but damn bro…have some backbone. Most of the women rooting for Bergie wouldn't date him themselves…how y'all mad at another woman for not wanting what you dont even want lol

  11. I mean I was not happy with Carmen, her reasoning about Bergie was dumb, like girl you started ALL of that, but I am also very happy Victor is gone. No matter what the actions of anyone else, how he spoke to Bergie was not ok and for that I am glad he is gone.

  12. The sneak peak of tonight’s episode like okay I get Anna obviously kassy was wrong for not telling Anna before she went to talk to Leo and other things but she can’t be telling shit about them still she needs to move on I get she mad but it’s love island time moves quick so ofc kassy and Leo have to do things that Anna isn’t going to like to build their connection

  13. I think sending Victor home was the right choice, his treatment of or reaction to Carmen and Bergie was still too extreme n unnecessary, we can vote Carmen out later

  14. Bergie is a grown a$$ man. On this show, Islanders always confront each other for moving like Bergie moved. We see the women confronting each other and confronting the men this season. The only reason people made Victor out to be some kind of bully is because Bergie carries himself like a helpless child instead of an accountable adult. He's not a victim.

  15. I wish there was double elimination, but since only one had to go, i was more than happy to see Victor gone. His ego , entitlement and rudeness was sickening 🤢 🤮

  16. I wish Carmen and Victor went home, but if one had to go that was the right choice. Victor was being a bully. They both used Bergie…Carmen used him as a shield to stay and Victor used him as a punching bag because none of the girls liked him.

  17. I think Anna is overreacting. This is Love Island, not Friend Island. Yes, there’s respect but they all know each other the same amount of time. and things work differently on the island time is different. yes, there’s respect. Anna is understandably hurt because Leo was the guy she wanted from day one and she had a chance with him but he wasn’t interested. now I don’t like Kassy because she was a little bit lying with the whole kiss thing, but whatever. like yes, I could’ve been better communication, but this is a whole new experience for everyone and it takes time for everybody to make it work like in the real world they wouldn’t have this conversation.

  18. i think this is a dating show, anna took leo when he was couples with kassy and the same thing happened to her. kassy talked to bergie when they were partnered before talking to leo so she didn't do anything crazy. i dont get why anna keeps talking about giving them her blessing to kiss like what?! its a dating show to date multiple people
