I really want to like greatsword. then I fight a fast monster with small weak areas.
I'm a simple man. I love big numbers. Looking at a bunch of numbers is pretty nice too but I really love seeing a lone, four digits number on my screen.
Holy shit. You got me with “BACK on the menu, boys.”
Fine. You get a subscribe for this sweet video.
I don’t know how to do true charge right at the start without doing some attacks first. Help please
Sad to not have this on xbox hopefully they will! I love monster hunter and have to dl it on my switch.
I like this. That said, I use both, as I found the Strong Arm combo really doesnt like some monsters. Surge Slash opens up combo's and opportunities that certain uncooperative monsters dont give you, especially as to be frank, Surge Slash hits really hard on it's own, and it's very consistent. It just doesnt have the glorious spikes where you see quad digit numbers flying around the screen. But IMHO, it makes up for it *where it's applicable and best suited* because of the sheer raw relentless nature of it. The flip side of this is anything thats even modestly cooperative with punish windows and opportunities? Is gong to get UTTERLY SHREDDED by Strong Arm TCS.
I end up with a TCS Strong arm scroll set, and a RS Surge Slash set depending on what I wana do in that fight. Not to mention that elemental is kinda big dick now on GS. Honestly, I like how all this is so close together now that it's all viable. Great Sword has never had so many playstyles that *just work*.
Focus is still needed in multiplayer because while you may pull off a few Strong armed stances you're not going to be doing them back to back, therefore when the monster's attention is divided normal charging with Focus is still required. Same as Quick Sheathe is still going to make you buff quicker and make your mobility quicker for both evading and getting in on the monster to attack quicker. Even Speed Eating increases attack because the less time you have to wait to heal the quicker you can hit a monster when you see an opening, otherwise you might miss whilst waiting to too long to heal. Anything that increases speed increases DPS output. Speed skills are both luxury and DPS increases.
Alternatively: put surge slash one one of your scrolls, and charge slash on the other one. This way you can be meta, and still have something to fall back onto if you feel caught off-guard.
I'm trash with strong arm stance. You need to be at a pacific skill lvl to use that switch still
We get that you like Greatsword but calm down Josh💀
what sword is that at 25 seconds?
Doing the bomb combo with strong arm, it's super hard to get down and do effectively
Wow, did not expect to be so entertained in a guide video. Good job bro. I’m heading to try my greatsword now. Thanks
the lion king reference…🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
So I recently got into the MH games, I played through all of MHW with some of my buddies earlier last year. I have around 200 hours of greatsword experience. Being able to counter almost instantly, with a two second window is probably THE most busted thing they could've added to the greatsword.
Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do u know when your learning a monster?
One thing I find surge slash useful for is popping the glowy anomaly orb things
Are high numbers possible pre-Sunbreak? Console player here.
So why not use guard tackle? I been using it ton to counter and block hits if no wirebugs up
I don't know if I'm doing this wrong but I followed step by step and I can't seem to get the final charge hit to go off after I do the first initial charge into the counter has this been patched? I wouldn't be surprised
Do you have a video like this with the other weapons
I love it but I play online mostly so can be a pain lol but they'll nerf it at some point 🤔
