Very Nice! Fractal is a great platform. I miss mine.
If you have these digital units and still need tricks to bring your tones to life maybe you need to consider playing keyboards instead
The VERVE is another band with Nick McGabe guitarist who does these Sound Scape tones/Sound. Surprised they are not as well known as U2.
On the dumble the SDD seemed to give it that TRAINWRECK sound. At about 9:23.
What gets you to play on either the fractal vs kemper vs helix when you have all of them staring at you @ home?

Voxes in general love pedals. A simple boost or a simple tube screamer can do simply generated wonders to your Vox tone. I thought everyone knows this… at last now 😊

Great patch. I used to use the AC-30 TB a ton back on my Axe-Fx 2 but went away from it and haven’t used it in years. Seems like time to revisit it. Thanks John!
The only thing you need to master the Edge's tone is to cut off the first 4 strings.
And before the SDD Edge used a Boss preamp to goose the front end. I think the Vox just likes a healthier signal coming in. Turning up the gain is not the same – it just gets creamier and you lose the chime. But hit the front harder… yeah.
Hi John, and congratulations on the success of your channel. One of the most important parts of The Edge's sound is probably by far the cheapest thing he uses along with his huge racks of gear and pedals. He uses Herdim picks which have a serrated grip and he regularly plays using the serrated part of the pick on the strings. It adds a slight bit of distortion even to pristine clean sounds, and it's been part of his playing since he started.
I like what the Preamp did for the tone. Long ago, you made an interesting video on the benefits of using a Preamp Block along with an Amp Block in the Helix Modelers. Maybe it would be a good time to revisit that topic for what seems an under utilized option. Thanks
