I'm not against the concept of templates, but 7 extra diamonds for each netherite item is rediculous. Netherite is already barely worth it. But netherite upgrades are nowhere near as bad as trims. If you want a diamond trimmed netherite chestplate, that's 23 diamonds.
If it maybe used 1 diamond, and like.. 7 netherack, or something.. it'd be so much better.
And, only being found occasionally in one room in the rarest variant of the bastion is pretty bad, too.
Maybe if they buffed Netherite to make it have like, 1.5x the protection of Diamond, it'd be worth it, but currently, the only bonus Netherite had is made useless by a fire res potion. Which costs less than 7 diamonds to get.
If diamonds were as easy to get as they were pre-1.17, it'd be a bit better.
For a full set of trimmed Netherite gear, it's 136 diamonds. 140 if it's a diamond trim.

Yeah, my single player survival world may be staying on 1.19.3 for a while- the Upgrade is ridiculously grind-laborious.
You should turn on cords so when stream says “Oh you missed it” then they can say well it was near “X, Y, Z” and then you wont have to wonder around
