I'd say that with how Justin Herbert and even Anthony Brown have come out of Oregon looking much improved at the NFL level, I'd give Van Dyke a little lee-way. Whatever Cristobal's offensive philosophy is, it seems to lower a QB's ceiling.
I remember watching Brett Kollman's video on Justin Herbert before the draft and predicted him to be a massive bust because of similar reasons (e.g. the way they use their eyes to look off safeties and also how they don't protect their receivers) that you guys are saying that Van Dyke should take another year.

Bill Parcells said don't draft a quarterback with less than 25 to 30 starts in college.
Every year there's conversation about the top first round quarterback draft picks. But time after time, we see high first round picks fail while 3rd thru 6th round picks excel. They say never take an RB in the first round. I say the same should apply to QBs.

I think it's hard to assess some of these bama and osu qbs because they always seem to be throwing to guys who are wide open. The media oversold this class, especially in comparison to last years class. There's maybe 3 first rounders as of now. All the other guys they tried to sell us on like Richardson, Van Dyke, Jurkovec (lol), Slovis, are day 2 picks at best.
Richardson at UF is 55% with way more INTs than TDs and just doesn't have the accuracy or ability to find receivers quickly. Maybe he can learn, but right now he's the worst QB UF has had that I've seen.
