  1. I always return to Empirion. The community is huge. There is a huge steam workshop full of scenarios and player builds. There is an unlimited number of systems and planets to build. It is a steep learning curve and does not hold your hand. The Reforged Eden scenarios are popular upgrades.

  2. x4 is great except on geforce now. Do not mess with video settings in game while on GEFORCENOW. you could very easily put yourself in a situation where if it was your pc you would be able to configure a file or properly minimize to desktop to investigate issue but since your streaming through geforce now you cant do that and it will be messed up until you can get to your pc, start the game outside of geforce now, save it, delete your cloud saves, and then when you get on geforce now it will work.

  3. I once made the mistake of buying a game on Steam, because it was the only place it existed. I learned from that and will never buy any digital only game.
Nor will I own a single player game that requires I be connected to the net to play it.

I have zero interest in associating with people that try to control my life.

  4. 19:16 It's a pretty good game that has a tutorial system designed to get itself uninstalled immediately and lacks certain QoL basics from its predecesdor. Come for the promise, stay for the station construction.

  5. I used to enjoy Empyrion when it was still new.. played with random people on a server and even made my Capital Ship in the image of a galleon.. which then got rekt by someone's cubic capital ship with cubic ships that served as auto turrets..

  6. A couple of decent ones you missed are Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. 80% off. The prequel to Rebel Galaxy and gives you a choice of ships from small fighters to large cargo ships. Can be played from the cockpit view or 3rd person.
Juno: New Origins. 60% off. Formerly known as Simple Rockets 2, this is similar to Kerbal Space Program with somewhat simpler flight controls and the ability to pre-program flights.
Star Wars Squadrons. 95% off. While primarly a team based PVP game, it has a single player campaign and supports VR, trackIR head tracking, and most flight controllers.

  7. The ones that interest me: Infinity Battlescape, Rebel Galaxy, Starpoint Gemini Warlords, Chorus, Spacebourne 2, Elite Dangerous, House of the Dying Sun, X4 Foundations.
I grew up on Xwing, Tie fighter and my all time favorite Wing Commander III

  8. Elite dangerous main problem is ridiculously overcomplexed handling. They need to make a simple mode and advanced mode because games like Everspace 2 are completely playable out of the box and ED is completely unplayable out of the box.

  9. Space engineers is worth your time and money. But only if you’re willing to invest time learning how the game works. It’s a steep learning curve but a deep sandbox experience that can last hundreds or thousands of hours.

  10. Infinity: Battlescape and X4 are my favourite.
Inifinity probably has the best combat of all space games ever.
X4 is just all things to all men. During the days of X3, I spent a significant amount of time as a Bounty Hunter in a fighter as I loved the "drifty" flight model. X4 is a similar story, everything in it just feels solid.

  11. Empyrion is an amazing multiplayer universe tradeing game with lot of resources and factions bases to raid solo and in party , pvp , space bosses and stations , action house , craft , amazing custom ships build , etc . YES BAD GRAPHICS but for me and i am sure for many only what is behind graphics matter.
