  1. I’m in central Illinois and I’m scared for the storms because it causes lots of damage and we have trees in the backyard and we are in the 103 mph winds and it’s going to knock down our trees. Really praying for y’all in this nation.

  2. 100f in Oklahoma yesterday and today. Because I lived in Phoenix for 25 yrs I'm living my best life. The native Oklahomans say their dying but I know that come Christmas time the shoe will be on the other foot for sure!😂 I remember it was either my first or second summer after my family moved from Denver to Phoenix that we hit 123F. Yeah that and the summer our A/C broke was the only times in Phoenix where I complained about the heat.

  5. I am praying big-time for those in the possible derecho paths. After going through three of them in recent assorted years here in Iowa, one of which did major damage in my mom's small town, I am well aware of what can happen… and how fast. May Yeshua protect His children!

  6. the fires are going for a long time as almost all fire fighting is going towards saving towns and homes . T he US has sent people to help. But the fires that are not threatening any thing or anyone are not getting much attention until the can divert resources. Remember many of these towns have only one way in or out. I drive a rode to a fishing camp that is 100 miles of trees and rock and no services. So fighting fires is very hard as there are no roads like we have in the US.

  7. I’m in SW Indiana in the 5% tornado risk. I’m planning on going out today! My plan is to head NNW and wait for the line and try to stay in front of it for as long as I can to get some great shots.

  8. Oh man oh man…tis hotter than hades here in Oklahoma. It just saps the energy right out of a body.
HYDRATE with pure, clean water! Add in some Celtic or Redman's Real salt. Take your magnesium and potassium, too. Stay away from those gatorade type drinks and mix up your own!

  9. These storms in Western KY are no joke today! I drove through it on my way home from Bowling Green, KY (not by choice) and was scared the whole time! Major wind, lots of hail, and incredible lightning. Never been so happy to see my house, ever. 😂 Stay safe out there everyone! THANK YOU, Mitch, for keeping us informed. A lot of people around here have been blind-sighted by this. I always tell people to look you up because you do such a phenomenal job of keeping us in the know.

  12. My husband and I were traveling West on I74 just before Danville, IL on June 29 at about 1:30 pm and stopped to make a pit stop. We could see the storm front approaching rather quickly and when we had finished going to the bathroom, went to our car to leave, but couldn't as all of a sudden the rain poured down and wind started blowing the gas stations large trash cans around. We decided to go back in and I couldn't open my car door due to the wind. My husband managed to get out then pulled my door open. I stepped out and it was like a bucket of water poured over me all at once. We managed to get into the store, as the wind had opened the door all the way and kept it open, pouring in water all over the floor. It took about 30+ minutes for the rain and wind to become manageable to where we could get back on I74. A few miles down from the exit, there was a large semi truck totally on its side, which told us how bad the storm had been. I also saw downed trees along our route, too.

  13. I’m in Springfield and this storm had no warning. There was no hype for this storm at all. At 12ish it started getting dark. Then we had a severe thunderstorm warning. 5 mins later two different tornado warnings. And the damage was pretty rough. A substation got struck by lightning and exploded. Crazy.
