  1. I am a bike rider and just added a 2017 Ducati Supersport to my collection. Harley is my main bike. Love all bikes.

Glad to join the sport bike crew once again as well. 939 is a nice place for my experience for sure. Got my Pista GP RR on the way gloss carbon of course.

I am not a hardcore fast rider. I may try some track days. If anyone would recommend. Thanks guys.

  2. I've been wanting to get started into motorcycles since my dad put me on his 1998 Ducati 748L when I was a baby. Trying on his old leathers became a yearly ritual to see if i finally fit them. But ever since I started bugging him to finally teach me around the time i got my drivers license. He told me he would never want me on a bike on his watch… So i decided to write three essays now in college about getting into motorcycling and learning proper technique, gear, and how to mitigate risk (i got an A on all of them lol). That now I have finally convinced him that learning with him and his 25+ years of experience would be better than me doing it alone in my 20s with no clue. Looking into some good classes now and a good starter bike. Thinking a Yamaha now. This video is so helpful you don't even realize how scarce good resources for new riders have become recently. The original class I wanted to sign up for at the local community college got shut down the summer i got my drivers license. Proper knowlegde and training saves these kids' lives. So thank you man 🙏

  3. Yup proper gear is critical. I have collected a lot of good stuff over my 50 year addiction. But nothing works for Rain lol. It sucks Especially when you're an old Geezer. Do a lot of touring and 400 miles from home and rain 😢

  4. I rode with a tinted visor for a long time until a pebble hit me in the eye while I had the visor up. I started riding with a less tinted visor and kept a pair of safety glasses when things got too dark. well lit cities usually were still perfectly visible with a lightly tinted visor. call me a nerd, but that pebble almost cost me an eye and could have cost me my life.

  5. The first point can’t be overstated, especially cold weather. One thing I learned after just one ride – ear plugs make everything on a motorcycle significantly more pleasant, and if you’re going on the highway, get a helmet that is reported to be quiet. Some helmets seem to magnify wind noise to a nearly unbearable degree, and others are so good, you don’t even think about noise. It makes all the difference for me.

  6. thank you for the advice! im still too young to ride, but in less than a month i'll be able to start taking classes! for now im doing some research to prepare. the most intimidating thing i find with motorcycles is the many different types there are, and that i have no idea which one would be best suited for me. it seems like i'd enjoy pretty much any type of bike haha.

  7. When I was 5. I ride a motorcycle with my P-pa. Of course he was driving but I always kind of learned while I was with him like knowing how to lean. My dad also taught me how to ride a dirt bike. Then my dad think I was decent when I drove the dirt bike for the first time.

  8. Commenting before watching and just the thumbnail. I struggle to see out of tinted windows when driving at night, but never had a real problem seeing through my tinted visor.

  10. The advantage of cold/hot is that Mother Nature teaches you all about it. She never forgets and if you forget, she does a review.
Not a new rider but not beyond learning something. Thanks for you effort.
