Funny how they finally got the Spider-Man suit right only to screw up the designs of the villains. Typical 2010’s Sony.
I think they tried way too much to ground the villans. And they also tried to ground the wrong ones. The Rhino didn't really need that much grounding, neither did sandman. Only those tremendously silly looking villains like Green Goblin or Vulture would've needed a realistic redesign.

I like the Amazing Spider-man because the suit was more realistic and dark in tone, as well as the movie. But Spiderman 2 2004 is still the best!
Tbh I really liked the first TASM suit.
The Rhino's suit isn't too much of a depatrure as its presented as here. His had a robot suit in the Ultimate comics which is what the TASM films are really based on so it makes sense.
I couldn't less for black spiderman, I found that character cringe since it's inception in ultimate comics

Rhino is a really difficult character to translate to the screen, either you try to make the design into something mechanical (done fantastically with the Vulture in Homecoming) or you just full send the goofyness and roll with it.
I jus didn't like andrew garfield as Peter Parker.

I love the whole concept of the Sinister Six with TASM universe.
I think MJ could of worked in the movie without complicating Peter and Gwen’s relationship. She could of just been a new side character that could of been friends with both Peter and Gwen, maybe she could of been a reason for why Peter and Gwen get back together at the end before the final battle, something similar to Spectacular Spider-Man where MJ was Gwen’s wingwoman and was very encouraging of them to get together throughout the show. And if they eventually wanted to have MJ and Peter get together, they could of left subtle hints that she had a crush on him but nothing too obvious
