I used to live in Wallington and am slightly younger than Jeff. I could have passed him in the street. The ceremony was in Bedington, just down the road. For me the most memorable playing was with Tal Wilkenfeld, although he had many more experiences that that. What a player. I am a player myself, but nothing like Jeff, he is several light years above me. I still miss Gary Moore too, I wobder if they ever played together, I havent seen anything that would indicate that. R.I.P. Jeff and thankyou 🙂
When I was in 7th to 9th grade, my brother always played Jeff Beck. then he went on to teach himself he had a guitar very expensive guitar and then he later on just kept going up and got into the violin kind of gypsy type music just like he played the guitar as he got older.. In sixth grade they were playing Jimi Hendrix and I was in second grade. I love Jeff back so much our life. I didn’t know he died. Bless his soul.
I don't get it… it wasn't tragic… He lived a full life, did some amazing things and he died with a level of dignity most aren't afforded. Seemed like a good life if anything.
Hands down my absolute favorite guitar player, probably the best in rock and roll!

Wasn't he one of those happy to take the 'we're good global citizens' jab? I think he was
Jeff…who else ? Never had the chance to see or hear him live, but we were born on the same day, me just 18 years later. One of my favorite guitarplayers, not to copy, and such an influence….RIP Jeff.
