  1. The doctor serves as an opposite to Kerrigan for Jim.

She's a doctor instead of an assassin. She cares. And is someone Jim can save. Bro loves saving people because he failed to save his first family. And both women ultimately reject his help and turn into zerg. Which also foreshadows what you think will be the ending of WoL. The only way to cure the infestation is to kill the infested.

In a better written story she could have been good. But as it is she doesn't really need to be there.

  2. On the contrary I was really impressed with Lost Vikings back when SC2 came out. Back then, having "interactive" menus like the Hyperion and a game-within-a-game was an extremely rare thing in RTS. And the game itself is a pretty impressive showcase of what could be done with the SC2 editor.
Imo the only bad thing about it is that it counts towards the Wings of Liberty achievement total.

  3. Hey Grant, this is what I "heard" back in Wings when the ultralisk headbash was removed that it was for two reasons.

1: Due to how long the animation was, it actually is lower DPS than just having the ultra auto attack, it also did not splash damage.
2: apparently with structures like sensor towers up a ramp, since the structure was so small having multiple together like prevented the ultra from using its bash, and thus was basically incapable of getting through close together structures and was just removed.

Maybe its just a rumour at the time, but that is what I remember.
