►About the Game –
The year is 1987, and as the clock strikes midnight in small-town Gallows Creek, USA, former big city radio DJ Forrest Nash is live on air in what will turn out to be the graveyard shift of a lifetime…

In this horror comedy, you must solve puzzles to save callers from being hunted down by a mysterious killer. Where every call is life and death, can you save the inhabitants of Gallows Creek?

Unique 1st person narrative:
Step into the shoes of a late-night radio talk-show host – new in town and fallen from grace. The Police Chief is dead… so the townsfolk turn to you for help, as apparently you, Forest Nash are the only person in town who can run a phone line.

Real-time decisions and puzzle solving:
Use branching dialogues to interact with a variety of eccentric small-town personalities including potential victims and suspects. Explore your surroundings, gather clues, make decisions, solve satisfying riddles, and try to help each of your callers survive the night.

Retro Slasher setting:
Jump back in time to 1987 with this slasher inspired puzzler – explore an authentically detailed radio station and interact with dozens of physics-based objects straight from a bygone era, including a working cassette and record player. With a fully voiced cast and a killer original soundtrack of 80’s inspired tunes from rock classics to synthwave!

  1. This game is fantastic. It really is. The voice acting is spectacular, and the dialogue is very well-written. My only niggle: it's set in the 1980s, but a lot of the phone calls sounded like the caller had a mobile phone, which can't be. In the 1980s we were still using landline phones, and only businesspeople and affluent folks could afford, say, a radio mobile phone as a car accessory. I know that in some cases it could have been a cordless phone, but… people calling as they roam a park maze? Or calling from a dumpster? I'll suspend the disbelief for the sake of the narrative, but it's a bit of an anachronism. Cheers! //Rick

  2. I really hope I don’t sound like an asshole saying this, but I honestly wish they would have switched the actresses of the producer, Peggy, and the main teen, Carrie.

Peggy does not nail some of her lines at all, and sometimes she just sound very scripted and stilted next to Forest. She is not as good, sadly, and while in a game with no other co-actors she could probably carry this big a part with no real issue, now she sticks out like a sore thumb next to all of these amazing voices on the phone. She also sounds way more like a teen.

Carrie's actor however sounds way more laid back and natural in her delivery, and has a way to mature voice for playing a 16 year old. I think she could have done good with the role of Peggy, and I think she would have made the character less…annoying. Sorry.

  3. I don't know why they set this game in the 80's when so many of the callers are calling while they're moving around or outside. Wireless phones were somewhat uncommon and cell phones were near non-existent. The game keeps stressing that this is a po-dunk town but seems a lot of people have what was considered expensive, high-tech devices.

  4. I wonder if other countries other than the US have the same kind of rhetoric and annoying ad campaigns like we do. I wonder if their politicians call each other Un-[insert country] and stuff like that. I wonder if they have to suffer for months to years with the mud-slinging, insults, and some straight-up lies. I pray they don't, but I also know politics can be very similar in different places; just the parties have different names.

  5. What a great game this is turning out to be !

An unexpectedly mysterious mystery, so naturally revealed that even the infodump-on-tape isn't annoying; beautifully stressful puzzles that still manage not to be horrifically over-complicated; fabulous enemy signalling that still does not let you relax (The Whistling Man is probably not after Forrest and Peggy yet , but that uncloseable basement entrance….); humorous ads and cool music; fantastic VA and writing; and of course the wonderful Peggy, whom I hope we get to see as a reward for successful completion of this game.

I am on tenterhooks! I will also say that I'm really glad I am watching your playthrough first, even though Gab Smolders did a full one a couple days before you. I'll watch hers after you finished. It's always great to share my first experience of these especially good games (even though I didn't know this was going to be a special one) with you — you really are just the best, CJU!😃

  6. Anybody else notice the theme of the map? The streets and some of the buildings are named after directors, characters, and places from horror movies and shows. It's a nice touch.

  7. oof, I think Clive might have been the guy at the beginning we saw get cornered.

and I think George was killed in a hazing thing…might be why jimmy was murdered too but carrie was spared. It maybe reminded the killer too much of what happened to george
