  1. This is like a We Are the World for Actors! Yul Brynner! Angie Dickenson! Rita Hayworth! Trevor Howard! E.G. Marshall! Marcello Mastroianni! Omar Sharif! Eli Wallach! + Grace Kelly as Narrator! All on behalf of the UN. Fun to watch too!

  2. A very watchable film. The scenes in Iran show how it was progressing before the ayatollahs took over.

Rita Hayworth's lack of dialogue was partly due to her suffering from early onset dementia – that stillness first making itself known in 1958.

A surprisingly well made film almost lost from our memory.

  3. 11 Minuets, 37 seconds into the film, we see a blue sedan driving through gates with no blue morgue sign next to the entrance. When the car stops, we see it through open gates with a morgue sign that was not there, in blue, now fluttering in place, artificially superimposed where there was nothing seconds earlier. The editors completely missed the error. An interesting slip up.

  4. Made in the mid-1960's to raise money for the United Nations, this was one of a series of films made for television. This one was also released theatrically, and it has aged very well indeed.

  5. According to Wickipedia the stars in this UN produced television movie received salaries of $1 each. Eli Wallach received an Emmy for best actor. I bet that they had fun making it.

  8. More than 55 years later and the public's desire for illicit drugs has not diminished a bit. Increased, if anything. It's time to legalise them all, with quality control so there's no more people ODing from Fentanyl they didn't know was there.

  9. They have some fantastically sensitive geiger counters – ranges in miles!
But that's nothing to detract from a very enjoyable film.
What an era for actors, and for storytelling!
