Rocket singh is actually a nice film.. In Bollywood most actors get typecasted.. And that's what happened.. Same with saif ali khan.. Besharam wasn't so bad.. Of course not the best but there are films which were far bad.. It was nice to see parents in it together.. Not necessary when u try and experience new genres everything has to be perfect or accepted. . Ayushman is a great great actor he's typecasted too with social msgs films just different concepts when he does different films they don't earn huge at box office.. Sometimes Typecasting works for you sometimes doesn't.. Same with varun dhawan.. In wake up sid ranbir was fantastic even with konkonas screen presence he didn't get overshadowed and it's one of the best films ever.. And an unconventional pair.
The character in Tamasha was copied from YJHD's Bunny which was copied from Wake Up Sid. As a big fan of YJHD and Wake Up Sid, I see that connection very clearly.
