Thanks to the machinations of Darth Sidious, the Clone Wars were a stalemate for most of their duration. For years, the Republic and the CIS fought a back-and-forth war, each capturing and losing territory in turn. Until the Battle of Coruscant, most of the galaxy was under the impression that there was no end to the war in sight. But starting in late 20 BBY, the truth was that the Republic was winning. Slowly but surely, the Republic had begun to centralize and rally its industrial might, and by the start of 19 BBY, it was pushing Separatist forces back on every front, bringing the fight to the Rimward strongholds of the Confederacy. These grueling final months of the Clone Wars were known as the Outer Rim Sieges, and in this long-form video we’ll be telling the full story of this bloody chapter of the war.

Ugh i remember the felucia battle in battlefront 2 i still find the missions scary with the acklay killing everything around me
Can you do Star wars vs Warhammer 40k specifically ( the republic/CIS vs the Imperium and maybe other faction)
The events of Episode 3 being over a week makes no sense and should have been 6 months.
Thanks Great video, please do one explaining why Ahsoka should have died (unless your opinion has changed of course given recent events in the Ahsoka series)
Me enjoy
Dude your longer videos are amazing! I love falling asleep to your hr+ vids! Please please please keep it up man. ❤
What system of dating was used in the star wars galaxy before the battle of Yavin? I’m assuming it would be based on the foundation of the republic but I haven’t seen anything about it.
Brilliant analysis of a nebulous part of the Star Wars lore.
Much appreciated guys, and much enjoyed.
Traps within traps every time in the clone wars
Question:
What time period had the most brutal wartime conflicts?
This video is wrong because Star Wars: Rebels says that the Separatist military vastly outnumbered the Republic military at the end of the Clone war. That the CIS only lost because of the Droid shut down command.
It also doesn't make sense the Republic had a bigger industry because droids can help build ships and other weapons 24/7. Droid factories operate 24/7. Droids don't need food, sleep, or rest. Just electrical power. So of course the Separatists had bigger industrial might and capacity than the Republic.
The battles where the republic won were because Sidious allowed the republic to win. Not because they had a bigger military.
Your maps for this episode are so… artistically done.
If the Searpatists won at Kashyyyk, how will this impacted the Clones Wars? I mean, the Separatist Council will no longer have the reason to surrender now that they can regrouped at Kashyyyk and scatter once again all over the Republic space and launch raids there and there, making the war lasted longer. But aside from that, will this hammered down Palpatine's declaration of the Empire? And will there be anything else that can be added here as impacts of this Separatists' victory?
What a banger of a video, always had been curious about the Outer Rim Sieges 💛
Imagine The Clone Army Already had 900,000,000,000,000 Venator 1 Star Destroyers Before The Grand Army of The Republic Even Began.
Hate Jedi, wasted a great army on frontal assaults . I don’t think they new what gunshipmeans
I would like a video on the battle of Boomis Koori IV. I find it funny that the arrogant General of the Seperatist army spent all of his resources on defenses for his base expecting to fight a huge clone army only for him and his army to be defeated by only TWO JEDI.
Ah yes a long galactic spanning war where millions die every day. In the 40K Universe we call this a Tuesday.
Where is the melee fight against the B2s depicted? I remember Bacara buffing melee damage in the minis game- this must be where that comes from!
Where is Baldamnic covered? I know the IGBC buys it in Darth Plagueis…
What I wonder was how an why all them Yagdul fleets an any CIS forces, other then Sideous's doing. Never learned of all the secret counter attack forces including multiple fleets just waiting for them with orders to launch an all out galaxy wide counter assault an crush them… It basically was going "yeah CIS got played…" So much for the propaganda the Republic was losing… Losing forces an their factions lost the ability to pull off such counter attacks an set those sorta traps
Makes one wonder what would've happened if Grievous tried to kill Palpatine instead of capturing…
20:35 😂 Jedi homeboy Lookin TOO Excited with HIS Erect Lightsaber.
Did he say SITH? Instead of…. you sly dog xD
The end of the Clones Wars was crazy
I’m sorry to say this, but I feel like the calm meditative track used in the background of the first three chapters is kinda out of place for this type of video 😅. Still, great content as always!
the galactic rim seiges needed to happen so i could see the galactic marines in ep3
I love when you use the Star Wars Legion art. I play alot so it makes me happy to see those epic illustrations
It was NOT Nute Gunray who deactivated the Droid Army. The Droid Army was disabled by Darth Vader, as revealed in one scene in Revenge of the Sith, AFTER he killed Nute Gunray.
Just like elites and ukraine
Please give Ahsoka a long form video of her own. Arguably the best character in the Clone Wars and super fascinating throughout her entire story arc
Yeah i remember fighting tooth and nail against the super battle-droids with my fists. Fuckers didn't know what hit them and never did Ki Adi Mundi
Damn these are still so good!!!!!
scattered swaths of seperatist space
I really like the snippets from the Novelisation. The bit where it mentions Order 66 is really well executed IMO.
Glynn Beti was a bothan… not some random stock Jedi. Come on dude, you just lost me. :/
Ya know… if Star Wars Battlefront 3 ever becomes a thing, we need a gamemode dedicated to the Outer-Rim Sieges.
Yes, a whole game mode. We've had Galactic Assault, Supremacy, all that, but there should be like, a section dedicated to bringing out maps of planets just used for the purpose of granting an authentic feel for the hellush situations in the Outer-Rim Sieges.
What front was anaxes and umbara apart of?
I was in the royal Australian army captain and I love this video of Star Wars keep it up
Master Roan Shryne looks a little kookie
New drinking game, take a shot every time he says rim. I would be dead in the fist 5 mins!
The interesting thing about how this is framed in the story is that it depicts vast swathes of space and their campaigns as sieges.
Shows a sense of scale and subtle dread at the massive amount of war occurring at this time
I want a video game of a clone squad on Mygeeto, a squad that has been there the entire two years that the battle happened. From the beginning attack to when Order 66 was called.
At first I thought The Clone Wars was just a fun series about the fighting between the end of AotC and the beginning of RotS. Little did I know that the point of the show was to depict the Jedi losing their way in the conflict while the Chancellor gains more power over the Senate and the courts.
