Theory*When Roger finds the one piece he laughed and says 'I wish I could have lived in your era 'many people have theorized that he ment luffy .What I ment is that after luffy reached laugh tale and found one piece using his devil fruit as the key he finds treasure and suddenly luffy turns into gear 5 and finds out that emu had caught mythical creatures and the elements for her own use joy boy wanted to help the souls by turning them into devil fruits so the souls could escape he tried to save the souls but failed because he didn't have a enough strength and died but before that he turned himself into a devil fruit to find a free minded person with a lot of imagination to do the thing the he couldn't complete and luffy will use his imagination to free the souls from the devil fruit . And the reason Roger laughed because he saw joy boy aka luffy free the souls and make a world with freedom and happiness he wanted to be born in that era because he wouldn't have to suffer the pain he had before that's why he cried with laugher because he saw a world where he would be happy and people didn't suffer the same.
