Welcome back to the Black Reliquary! In this episode we’ll be (after a dungeon or two) going after one of the first bosses of the new expansion! We, however, run across a few issues along the way…thanks for watching!

This Mod is in early Beta, so a lot is subject to change! it’s now in 0.4!

  1. Oof, sometimes this game loves to kick you in the dick, especially Black Reliquary. I once lost a full-health flagellant to two horrible curious interactions and a trap in the exposed interior, was the end of a thirty minute dungeon and I lost a hero in ten seconds of bad luck.
This mod is p damn difficult but love the content though, keep it up!

  2. Oh well Shadow you just weren't prepared enough, you need to take lvl 4 heroes, with lvl 4 talents, with lvl 4 weapons and armor and you should probably bring a couple legendary trinkets. Be sure you take as much power as you can.
Oh also btw you shouldn't waste your time with the healer, just go for people who do damage, the best defense is a good offense.
Just kill them before they kill you 5leg.

  3. lesser sanwurm 257 HP, does that mean that there will be a SUPERIOR sandwurm with 500+ HP?

also, how did the vestal get a first turn? the game roll + SPD dice of 1 to 10 on all, right? + the character speed = total speed…right? so, if vestal get high roll of 10 and dredge low roll of 1, vestal will be at 9 SPD and dredge at 16 SPD…right?

  4. I mean, we made the bosses Veteran difficulty for a reason. kek
That wasn't a collector enemy, that's just a veteran dungeon enemy. Bosses aside, veteran dungeons are balanced around veteran upgrades. The healing factor would have been a bit more useful if they were just a bit more leveled up (and of course, a bigger health pool means more healing from Expiate) plus you'd take less DoT on average with higher level heroes since hero level is what gives you status resist. (On that note, we removed the initial stress penalty for sending in heroes that are too low level, so we actually made that "easier" so to speak. Still doesn't help with the non-stress parts)
Taking in T2 gear to a veteran dungeon and getting smashed isn't unique to BR.

  5. I think you could have gotten the kill on the slinger and prevented dredge from becoming completely useless, though you'd have still gotten to death's door on her.
The amber core kinda sucks in caverns once you reach veteran because the sandwurms are just a regular enemy, they make it really difficult to chain kills on dredge to keep the heat level in check.
