Let me see…. a painting of British soldiers presumably in no man's land attacking German trenches with….. Machine guns??😂😂😂 or what most people nowadays would call military assault rifles😅😅. The only country who had such weapons at the time were the Americans. America had the browning automatic rifle, which was pretty much an early version of what would be a military assault weapon. But America did not enter the war until 1917 and did not allow their troops to have The BAR because they did not want it falling into German hands.
