These owners live up to every cliche about bad American ownership. Obviously all football clubs are businesses but their obsession with draining every penny possible out of the club makes it difficult to imagine worse owners. Although Chelsea's spring to mind. If there is a place called hell I hope it has a Directors box where the people who sold the club and the current owners can experience all the many joys of a hot summer for an eternity.

The Glazers are crap businessmen they inherited the club from their father and thought they could milk it dry without investing in success on the field. Commercial success relies on success on the field to attract sponsorship. You can only live on your reputation for so long. The club needs a permanent supply of new young supporters and won’t get them as perennial failures.
