  1. Alice Cooper is a children's entertainer. He has nothing to do with the history of music.. His career has been a cynical means of making ridiculous amounts of money. His contribution to popular culture has been a celebration of all that is mediocre and inferior. Naturally – he is big in the USA.

  2. Mediocre? You.gotta kidding. Alice IS one of greatest songsmiths of ALL TIME. Who else covers subjects from child neglect to spousal abuse to the penal system to mental illness? His Killer album alone demonstrates his power as spokesperson of our generation. In fact your "Mediocre" comment does prove the point that he is the most underated songwriter of his time.
