these types of videos are always so entertaining for me and idk why lol
An extra point about the Great Stars not mentioned in the video: it does a small amount of healing to you on every attack that hits an enemy, this makes it an amazing candidate for the Prelates Charge Ash of War.
No1 I too short you'll me missing guard counters.
Ive been loving the Ruins Greatsword, feels so good to line everything up and hitting them with the wave.
for the giant crusher, you can just sneak behind the boss and loot it. I did.. then killed it for the golden seed,
Someone needs to make a video about how to play open world games in general. What I mean is a game plan. What should you do first. Things really basic players would need to know. Because I was let loose into the beautiful world of limegrave and had no clue what to do in it.
Does elden ring have the sweet spot mechanic with things like halberds? If yes, how much is there of a damage difference?
I have most of these weapons but the base scaling rating is different from the one yours has. Do you know why that is? For example my great sword base scaling rating is a C and it’s been that way since I picked it up. Do I have to strengthen it further to increase the scaling rating ?
The starscourge +10 with the jumping attack talisman and the atk up while full hp talisman does 2000 damage with a jumping r1 and a single r1 on an enemy does 1400 damage. That's with 50 ish strength and 15int. It's so good I have a really hard time using other weapons.
One thing I’ve always found stupid about weapon showcase videos is when people use it against the standard enemies in Limgrave. Literally the lowest level enemies, take it somewhere high level like the Haligtree and then demonstrate how strong the weapons are
Don't upgrade the greatsword to 25. It's currently bugged for heavy, and actually downgrades the AR
I'm far from and expert and I love these videos, this channel is actually one of my favorites but I've been using the Starscourge Greatsword and have had a very hard time replacing it. Two handed you get 2 of them and it's an absolute blast especially since the AoW is also so much fun to use. Keep up the great work!
Am I doing something wrong but these weapons even when I select the same ashes of war and heavy affinity I don’t get S the closest I get is B or something?
what about the celebrant skull?
i think it's the best str weapon to use for a caster since it has lowest requirements, weights nothing and can be infused.
on paper the damage should be good too!
that last hammer flip is so cool imo
80 is not the soft cap. At 66 you can two hand and it's almost as if you have 99 strength.
wonder how well the halberd goes in 1 hand.. may be a replacement for my executioner's axe if it hits harder
The Greatsword at +24 does more damage than the +25
fantastic video, man. really appreciate the information
This game so fucking hard why tf the bosses so damn tuff Lmaoo I almost gave up on it till I realized a few things that helped me out just now beat my first boss after like 200 tries 😂😂😂 very fun challenge game if it seems to hard it’s cause your character ass and you need to level him up don’t rage like I did guys 😂💀
Brick Hammer found in the early part of stormveil castle, at +15 it gets S scaling with heavy and you can add ashes of war to it as well
I heard there's a nasty bug with the Heavy affinity. Apparently the final upgrade does less damage than the penultimate one. Might want to double check the damage changes before upgrading fully.
I'm currently using the great stars. I've added chilling mist to it which gives me magic damage and physical damage plus frost damage when I use my ash of war. It also has passive bleed(50) and frostbite(95). Idk if it's considered meta but it makes me versatile. I also use lightning, fire, dragon, frenzy, and beast incantations at the moment. So essentially I can fight anything I come across while running through the game.
Do dex next!
The ruin sword info is a bit wrong. You don't need the announcer. You need to have either done nothing with ranni/blaidd or finished the quest chain. There are 2 versions of redmane castle. The festival and the occupied versions. In the festival version all the NPCs are there. In the occupied version there soldiers in the castle. There is a double boss in the festival area. That's where you get the sword. The announcer won't be there at all.
Hope you get the int and faith version of this wonderful content
Just wanted to mention that when doing a strength build in elden ring, 66 is the strength level you want, two handing will take you to the max stat of 99. Letting you invest the extra 14 points ( going off the recommended 80 strength mentioned in this video) in something like endurance or vigour.
For pve it honestly doesn’t matter, but if you are new to these games and want a pvp strength build, 66 is the way to go. Also with all the stat boosting talismans, great runes and buffs/ spells, it really isn’t that hard to fit that in to a level 100-120 build. Hopefully everyone agrees to a lower meta, 150 is going to be ridiculous and boring af.
Edit: also if your goal is pvp, be careful one handing huge weapons, most competent players will parry you. Especially if you swing more than once at a time. Obviously do whatever you want though, it’s just a thought.
Didn't mention that the giant stars also heals per hit and if you duel wield them it procs 2 times. with the talisman that heals over time and the one that heals on consecutive hits its gg game 🙂 wtf is an estus flask lmao
I literally finished the game while dual wielding the number 1 and 2 weapons on this list. And I wore a dress to keep my equip load down, so I looked good while doing it
The Giant Crusher has another followup attack after its heavy just do another heavy. Best Ashes to probably use on it for PvE is the Lions Claw you hit on average always over 2k dmg, with Royal Knigts Resolve and Buffs you can do above 5k per Hit. I also dont recommend using the Giant Crusher for PvP, opponents just can sidestep all your Attacks without even the need to roll and can backstep you after every attack.
strenght builds and weapons just suck on this game, you go dual weild short swords with bleed or katanas and you literally do more damage on a jump attack plus u proc bleed
Can't wait for the Dex episode!
I really wish you could change affinities without applying ashes of war. It's like the game is actively pushing you away from using cool and unique weapons
Golden Halbert with plus 10 is 1000 or more AR
hey can you do one for str/dex next?
I dont like big hammers. I feel like they are blocking my view.
I’m still pretty early in the game and haven’t found any of these yet. Any STR weapons you recommend until I can find one of these?
Cheers 🥂
Fun lill fact about the inferno hammer, if you have 60str and 99arc, infuse it with occult it has over 600 scaling and over 1000AR
The prelates charge came as the ash of war on my crozier. Did it not come on there for everybody?
Maybe a vid on how to get super high poise? Highest I can get mine is 60
Cant help but think somethings wrong with the dmg numbers.
I just tried a heavy giant smasher +25 (with 99str) against a +10 Starscourge Greatsword (81str, 15int 12dex). Both 2hand-wielded.
In the stats screen the smasher does far more dmg, but when i actually try them the sword does more dmg and 1shots enemies for which i need 2 strikes with the hammer.
I don't know why. Is it because the sword goes into power-stance when 2handed?
It may not be the best in terms of damage but I find myself using the large club (code named The Unga Bunga Stick) so much. I have mine at +25 with bloodhound step and like 125 bleed build up and it is my go to weapon when I have trouble with a boss or if I'm helping someone. Again, it may not be the best in terms of damage but it is very reliable and versatile! 😁
Why is it better putting HEAVY than QUALITY in the weapon… idk its name in english… weapon changer(?).
Quality looks like it buffs the weapon even more, doesn't?
