  1. Losing the Battle of Britain, forcing Britain in making peace with Germany is one of the most fascinating "what ifs" out there. No interference or threat to Barbarossa. No Gibraltar or Suez to close the Med? Would the USA have felt the need to declare war on Germany at all? Always loved "The Man in the High Castle" view of that future.

  2. The Germans complained about us bombing their cities even though they had been bombing our cities. We at least tried to make sure we only bombed factories etc. and not homes. You would probably enjoy the video of how the UK manged to nuke (not for real) the US twice.

  3. the guy who was six years old and ran back into the safety of the caves feeling the bomb behind him blowing him forwards… That's like something out of Die Hard. Great reaction. You showed much empathy and understanding, including about how us Brits are taught to be ashamed of our history now. It's an abomination. Thank you for sticking up for us.

  4. its a generation that we owe so much to , got more nerve then i would have, my gran a young mother at the time , with a baby [my dad] went all through the war in London never left for the safer countryside, The Battle of Britain and the Blitz were two central moments in the British war effort during World War II. They have usually been treated as distinct campaigns, but they are linked by the fact that the German Air Force conducted a continuous eleven-month offensive against Britain from July 1940 to June 1941.

  5. And lets not forget the v1's that came for us Between June 1944 and March 1945 London came under attack from the Luftwaffe's V1 Flying Bombs, unmanned guided planes each of which dropped a ton of high explosive.

  6. The Germans forgot that us Britons ruled one 3rd of the world the biggest empire in human history and we're Bearley a thousand miles long and 500miles at our widest part ,they underestimated us brits .

  7. A few days earlier Churchill had sent a handfull of bombers to bomb Berlin – Hitler was so outraged he changed his policy of targetting fighter airfields to one on bombing London – a decision that probably changed the outcome of the war

  8. IF that hadn't happened, i would be talking to you in German. Nice to see you got so engrossed in that vid. A lot came from the film 'Battle of Britain', which i watched as a kid being made above east anglia. Check out how RAF QRA works. We are still at it, at least twice a week.Today, 03/03/2024, it happened. I watched it on home radar on my laptop. I am ex-RAF radar techy.
