Tess Infected Death Scene – The Last of Us – Tendrils Kiss – The End of Episode 2 – HBO

Tess Luring in the infected at the end of Episode 2 and the most revolting kiss of all time.

After being attached by Clickers, Joel, Ellie and Tess plan the next steps in their journey to find the Fireflies in Wyoming.

The Tendrils in the infected are seen close up and it’s disgusting and horrible. Are the infected called zombies here?

A truly amazing scene from the show.

Props to Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann and everyone who worked on the show!

  1. Tesses ending was the dummest thing they done so far in this series. im so mad about the way writer wronged her! fisrt of all, no one i mean no one would light them self on fire when there are lots of granades around you. special Tess, because she was a bad ass woman! Second. How the f sudently the people eating/ripping infected calm donwn and just camly walk towards a person and give a kiss? they dont even know what the hell that is!! third, the reall Tess (meaning game Tess) would have never let one of those things near her when there are guns and ammo left around her like in this sad version of Tesses ending. Better way would have been that she picked up those granades and blew the whole place up like a bad ass Tess is! the ending just made me so mad!

  2. As someone who only knows of the game, but never played it, I'm loving it so far. However, this death didn't hit me hard at all, because I barely got to know her or Joel's relationship with her. Regardless, im looking forward to episode 3!

  3. I mean, the lighter adds tension to the already dramatic scene. It would've been badass if she held one of those grenades and let it go after the kiss. It would mirror her game death a little more as she held off those soldiers so Ellie and Joel could escape. Still a riveting scene

  4. Everything has been wonderful thus far except the "kiss". That was simply unnecessary and a dumb decision in my opinion. All else though, excellent.

Edit Addition: Something I just noticed. Look at 0:14 when the fungus is (basically) waking up ground troops. It is able to, literally, burrow under a nail and directly into the skin. Anyone/everyone knows how difficult and how much force it takes to do this as everyone has had a cut before. Point being, the tendrils we see must have some type of cutting mechanism on the end.

  5. I feel like most people who watching this didn’t play the game so it may come off good to them but for those whose seen and played the game know the script writing is lackluster

  6. Seeing a million casuals worship this stuff is depressing. The original game felt groundbreaking in concept and depth, and then the creative director went and pissed all over the fanbase, created a ridiculous sequel filled with cynicism, and then turned back the clock to turn old game scenes into a TV show to the sound of applause.
Wow it's just like the game, just like the game, take my money, take my money. I've seen less NPC behaviour in the clickers themselves.

  7. Highkey I hated tess in this show, she treats Joel like a Simp who will take care of all of her dirty work and she’s constantly does this “we’re not good people.” Kinda thing. Finally she’s dead

  8. I've played both games n thoroughly enjoying the t.v series so far..when things like this is done movies made from books or games it's never gonna be exactly the same so I never go too deeply into comparing them I just enjoy it for what it is…a movie.

  9. I felt so violently uneasy and disturbed by the kiss. I don't usually get grossed out but this was just something else. I've also never played the game as zombies and all that sort of stuff just aren't for me but the show is definitely good and follows pretty closely to the game as far as I know.

  10. The kiss was a creepy choice. I mean, perv creepy style. I believe it could have been possible if the infected were overly affectionate at the beginning of the infection. Therefore, kisses and hugs could have been more appropriate, before the insane aggressive stage.
