what to do when you feel down and want to do anything but study?

I am talking about the time when you Just want to do anything else which will make you feel better or enjoyable because you don’t feel like studying, or maybe because you are feeling down.
one person in my life was good at pushing herself through these kind of times. and she can study through that.
but I am not good at pushing myself through this and always have problems with this, this kind of times breaks my consistency, wastes a lot of time, breaks plan and many many problems comes just because of this.

but after so much time and experiment i have realised that there is only one solution to that, you have to sit down, you have to study. our focus, concentration, productivity, output will be less then usual but it is better than completely wasting time.

now as we know now that we have to the same thing, but we can change the few things, to make it a little easy and help us continue in that time. It might not make studying enjoyable but it will help to sit down and study.
there are few things that i do, you can try them also or do similarly type of things that might work for you.
1. Note down clearly what you need study, for that day. and then divide it into 45 min or short study sessions goals. it should be clear, crispy, and most importantly realistic. you can make easy goal no need make hard target you can take just a little easy on yourself that day. This is most important step, as complete these short goals of yours , you will start to feel good and in the later part of the day it will be easy to do it.
2. You can change your environment. if you study in library go home, or some where outside or some cafe. If it is possible.
3. I buy a lot of snacks. healthy or unhealthy doesn’t matter πŸ˜…, it is upto you. and i eat it whenever i feel like it. ( i am foodie, so it is my thing) point is to do something that makes you feel a little better.
4. you hear some music that you like at low volume.
5. you should also remind yourself why are you studying, remind yourself your goals, think what will happen if you don’t do it ( do make yourself depressed by thinking this, so be careful), if you have seen person some get through this them think about them if they can do it you can do it too.
6. If you have study buddy or friend who study with you then study with them. It is the most solution. do study sessions with them. and enjoy break time after every study sessions.
7. Take break after every study sessions, you adjust duration of study sessions and break, according to comfort but stick to whatever you decide.
8. you should avoid distrection. you should also put your device away if you are not using them.
9. you can also share with the people how you are feeling.

so these the things that i remember for now. you use whatever works for you, main point is to use the time in a useful way. I hope this helps you a little bit.

About me- I am a working aspirant. I work in CAG india. I have done my graduation from IIT Bombay. I am preparing for ssc cgl 2023 for now. My exam is on 22 oct. After that i will start preparing for RBI manager.

I have started these sessions for setting up my schedule with job and to be focused, consistent and productive. This will also help in avoiding distractions. I hope this help you guys too.

In the future i will conduct live session on the daily basis, 2 hr in the morning and 4 hr in the evening every weekday and on weekend i will conduct longer live session. This will continue till have Cleared my exam. All this will start from 30 oct.
