You can actually create a quick save in combat when you've damaged an elite mob down to 10% or so health and finish him off, then reload, and rinse/wash/repeat to reroll legendary drops. Try it, it works.
I think mob spawns are determined by difficulty setting upon entering but individual drops aren't rolled until the moment the enemy is killed.
For anyone that needs money just rob spacesuits from shops and sell it
So long as you switch to Very Hard before loading an area, you can switch back to whatever difficulty you like after it has loaded. The chest contents are determined during the load.

You get the infiltrate the Crimson Fleet quest from the UC Vanguard questline as well.
Are weapons level locked?
Uh, I think you mixed up two guns. The one you kept calling a one shot rifle is a shotgun, as evident by the O reticle. The one you called a shotgun is a rifle, crosshair reticle.
Haven't found a super special one yet but I've been rocking an Orion Laser Rifle. Double barrel with pretty good range and great damage.
The mantis armor is RNG. save prior to opening the case and you can restore/re-roll it to get mods you want.
I couldn’t get the secret outpost file to drop for me. Cleared out the space station and it wasn’t on any of the NPC’s I killed.
This whole, pay an extra %50 of the game price to play a few days early is a really bad industry practice. It’s teaching devs and publishers that you can use a gamers impatience to garner more income than just making a quality game. To those that paid for it, you should be ashamed.
Give the minigun to your companion and make shure, that he/she equips it. they shred enemies like crazy

I haven't played in about 10 hours so forgot maybe if the game told me where to buy weapons. I got a couple that I got from enemies but would like a nice rifle with a scope on it for long range. Is it in new atlantis somewhere?

To be honest… most of the set look pretty bad. I hope Bethesda add more that look more better. The mantis and pirate sets look the best looking.

If you save BEFORE picking the armor up, you can reload that save and every time you do, it rerolls whats on the armor

Don't forget the legendary mini gun during mantis, one of the spacers dropped it.

I must be the luckiest player. I came across a Modified Advanced Magshot with 173 damage. Its like shooting a frag grenade at enemies.
Fun fact keelhauling was a punishment back I. The old days of sailing they would tie a rope around the sailor being punished and pull him under the ship and he would get all cut up by the barnacles and also almost drown
The mantis set is eh, the pack and helmet i use but i think the suit is ugly, and i have a suit that i found in my first few hours thats waaaay better. Its called "haulers trackers alliance suit", 156PHYS, 112ENGY, 128EM, (epic rarity) comes with chameleon and resources weigh 25%, yet to find anyhing with better defense myself
You can also get a full pair off the uc vanguard quest line and considering it one of the earliest factions to find and join it relitivly a fast and good quest line for a full set of legendary uc gear
I would wait until level 80 to actually pick up this armor so it isn't obsolete in 5 levels.
I love the M67 Smartgun. I always love rotating barrelled weapons, but Bethesda and most other games has this idea that those weapons need to suck so it's balanced. However, in Starfield, this thing is the undisputed monster mower of enemies. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Important note: the gameplay he showed talking about the assault rifle showcases the shotgun gameplay and vice versa. Just in case people were confused

Beat the game 10 times and you’ll have the best armor. Don’t do anything else at all until you’re in the tenth or eleventh universe.. there’s no sense
If you save the game right before you open the armor case. You can reroll the special enhancement on the armor by reloading the save.
