  1. So happy to hear that they ate good food at the Presidential Palace.. Enjoying the cool breeze of the ACs they all deserve this as to what they have been put to for no fault of theirs… Everything that were theirs were taken from them by a handful of people who thought it was their right to enjoy it all… So sad for the people of Sri Lanka… May God bless them abundantly.

  3. The protest was peaceful. As Sri Lankans we have been struggling for months. Still the government , Rajapaksha Family including presedent, former prime minister failed to provide solutions. The y were the responsible people for this economic crisis. They made our country in debt with foreign loans and white elephant projects like Mattala airport, Hambantota harbour, Lotus tower etc. They banned chemical fertilizer that made most of the common people suffer in queues.

Their lack of farsightedness and improper planning made our country a failure. We were living in this country peacefully and happily. They made us debtors. High inflation and these official's inability give solutions made our Sri Lankans disappointed and hopeless. Yet government officials lead a life of luxury while we suffered days in long queues just for basic needs. At present inflation in Sri Lanka is over 60%. Most of the locals are not sure about their next meal. All because of the rulers.

Which ultimately lead to these protest. We call it "The protest of Love". Because Sri Lankans got united against one corrupted family who ruled the country. This was a collective effort of all the Sri Lankans. There was no violence. They were the ones who used battons, tear gas , guns and water. We came with bare hands but with brave hearts. Unity was our strength which could not be defeated by the president and his henchmen. A big applause for locals.

  4. These are the secrets of any government in any country. Now what happened is Sri Lanka has lost it's most of administrative security and dignity. This is an invasion to administration without arms. There are more legitimate ways to change the government. Sri Lanka will not recover these scars for years to come. Now no place in Sri Lanka to have discussions for foreign dignitaries to meet as well as no secure place.

  5. It's very shameful to any nation….
I pray for the betterment of Srilanka & it's people.
I think the genocide of innocent Tamils might be a CURSE for this family so that they themselves had to runoff from County…!!!

  6. Sri Lankans should do a referendum and ask India to take over Sri Lanka.
That would be a good outcome. Indian Government and bureaucracy can provide stability to Sri Lanka, provide food, fuel and other necessities…as well as finance. India can also link to Sri Lanka via Ram Setu and provide trade and jobs to Sri Lankans.

  7. Every country in Europe is facing the cost-of-living crisis brought by the pandemic and Ukraine war. Pandemic has stopped tourist money to countries like Sri Lanka who were the first to go down with the crisis. These protests alone will not solve the real crisis, and protest leaders should think of the next step. What Sri Lanka need is to bring new faces to lead the country who have not been in politics before. These people should be from industry leaders, academics, sports personalities, and technocrats who are not tainted by corruption. IMF will easily give bailout funds to leaders who are not tainted by corruption.

  10. Gotabaya WAS a democratic honest and excellent political leader.

What took place in Sri Lanka was a political conspiracy and a coup by local terrorist group called JVP with socialist economic policies to effect regime change. They are backed and funded by US and Tamil and Muslim diasporas in Western countries and Europe.

It must be mentioned that there was a
successful foreign funded regime change operation in Sri Lanka back in 2015, This new government headed by President Sirisena was responsible for the disastrous amount of ISB borrowings.

Between 2009-2014, $5 Billion worth of ISBs were acquired.
    This is manageable and normal.

    However, between 2015-2019 alone,
$12Billion worth of ISBs were borrowed.
This is a devastatingly high amount of debt to be thrust into for an economy the size of Sri Lanka's.

ISBs have extremely short maturity periods as low as 2 years – and having a large number of them to be paid back within a span of 4 years is nearly destructive.

There was no clear cut reason for such large borrowings in the first place.

The country was in no dire need of foreign aid at that time.

President Gotabaya Rajapakse walked straight into this reckless debt pile when he was elected in Nov of 2019.
Needlessly to say things were about to get much worse due to Covid-19 in March of 2020.

It's been going downhill ever since.
The ONLY reason that President Rajapakse is being portrayed as the architect of this catastrophe is due to his pro-China, pro-Russia leanings.

Removing him will bring in a Western puppet like in 2015 – who will bend over backwards to the West's needs, and bow to every demand made by the IMF.

It should be noted that US does not care whether it is communist or liberal, as long as they can use these unintelligent brainwashed JVP and protesting bafoons as pawns to disrupt and destabilize the government.

The president who was voted in by 7 million has been chased out by a group of commie bafoons not more than 100000 who have no mandate and the man who got only 5000 votes in the last election now is the President.

This is the final stage of conspiracy theory. Same as in Libya. This will create internal conflicts within groups of the struggle.
    Regime change mission is accomplished!
