This is a 1000 pt battle of Warhammer 40k 10th edition, featuring my Space Marine chapter: The Fire Keepers, and Bobo’s Ork Waaagh!: GROBNOBZ DEEFENZ FORZ. While not not the most epic of confrontations, we’re still getting our feet wet with the new edition and we felt it was thematically appropriate to field lists which felt ‘humble’. Regardless, it was quite an exciting clash!

This was a batrep format I’ve been mulling over for a while, a sort of a thematic battle report. Which is focused on the narrative of the battle. One which delivers the experience from an in world point of view.

  5. I love this!! Short, sweet and to the point. I don't need to see every dice roll in real time. There's so many other channels for that. This is thematic storytelling and lots of fun. The intro graphics are also really well done. Great work!

  7. This is what I like to see out of battle reports, bringing the battle to proper life instead of just going through the steps of the game alone.

  12. Good battle report. Short reports that work the game mechanics into the narrative are great (like the captain calling his oath) – way better than 2 hours of dice rolling.

  37. This is way more digestible for narrative content. Do this more, I remember writing up narratives in a short lived crusade game for my own Salamanders. Eager to see more.
