Soledad Canyon Tour | Hughes Autoformer to the Rescue | Malibu State Park Hike

We are at Soledad Canyon RV & Camping Resort in Acton, California (Thousand Trails & RPI). Fred shows you how we use the Hughes Autoformer to overcome our low voltage issue. Follow us on a day hike in Malibu State Park where we see the old outside recording sites for M*A*S*H and Planet of the Apes. We take you on a tour of this campground which is located close to Los Angeles by the San Gabriel mountains. It is in a secluded location in the high desert country along the Santa Clara stream way. You will be just 15 minutes from major shopping centers and one hour from nearby attractions like Universal Studios Hollywood and Six Flags Magic Mountain. Stay tuned to the end to hear Fred’s cellular report.

We’re Mary and Fred! In 2020, we transitioned from part time RVing to full time and travel the country looking for teachable moments to help the nomadic home schooling community. We explore, experience and educate, because it’s never too late to believe in yourself.

  1. Thanks for sharing. Malibu State Park looks amazing. I like the recreation room and the pool. The laundries in the campgrounds are really expensive. Well I’m not sure because we don’t use them that often. The last one we used it was $2.50 for washer and the same for the dryer. This park looks very well maintained. Thanks for sharing.

  2. That was awesome Mary and Fred 👍🏻🙂 The campground was really nice , isn't it kinda wierd when everything is closed for winter? The movie sets , two of my most favorite shows, Planet of the Apes and MASH, very interesting 😀 It would have been cool if they had a mock full set of each there 😀 Thanks for sharing, we hope you have a great week 😁

  3. We loved Mash also. Ronald Reagan was the best president and was Pat's 32 cousin. My bucket list is to visit every Presidential Museum in the country.
So nice to see you in Reagan area.
