You do have to cook the brown rice much longer than white rice. I usually double the cooking time when I make it. I really like the taste of it!

I am so glad to see you trying things outside your comfort zone. Brown rice is different, yes, but you will not know if you don't try it. I use broth and consume to make it and love it that way. What a SCORE with the ribeye!

I like brown rice when I make chicken soup.
Also, with the brown rice, cook it longer, even if you have to add more liquid and cook longer. That's all we have.
I throw a boullion cube in when I make brown rice, it makes a difference but it still is more firm than the white rice.
