I donāt think they should nerf prime radahn but he feels impossible because of the current fps drops in phase 2 combined with his bs double quick slash into a dual slash. I really enjoy the fight but itās a bit discouraging knowing I take damage that isnāt even my fault. Simply fix the fps, make the quick double slash spaced out by like 0.5 seconds so itās dodgeable through both swings, and maybe fix some of the positioning on radahns shockwaves after every attack in phase 2, make them come out further away to punish dodging away. I feel like I was keeping on the aggression but Iād still get clipped by a shockwave and die instantly because of the fps not letting me dodge. I absolutely love this boss and hope they make it their best one yet but to do that thereās gonna have to be some tweaks here and there.
I think that we should all agree that Igon takes Bayle from a 10/10 fight to a 20/10. Igon is the best summon ever and he will be the only one I ever summon in any of my next playthroughs.
Gotta disagree on putrescent knight and radahn. Putrescent was a sleeper hit boss for me, did not expect to love it, but ended up loving it. Radahn, in my opinion, is the best boss in the dlc. Once u completely understand the boss you can see just how fair this fight is. A complete masterpiece of difficulty, good vid, but I gotta disagree.
Really solid ranking! I'd agree that Bayle, Midra, and Messmer belong in the top 3. That said, I'm surprised to see all the hate for Gaius; not just from you, but from everyone. I must be the only person in the world who likes that guy. Sure his charge is a bit questionable, but other than that I found him TONS of fun. His combos are fairly simple but satisfying to dodge, he looks like a total badass, and I overall I had a great time learning him. Seriously; I don't see what's so bad. I don't feel like going in-depth on every boss for a YouTube comment cause otherwise I'd be here typing for an hour, but my basic list would look like this (based solely off my first playthrough and having fought each boss only once): 11. Radahn, Consort of Miquella 10: Putrescent Knight 9. Scadutree Avatar 8. Divine Beast Dancing Lion 7. Romina, Saint of the Bud 6. Metyr, Mother of Fingers 5. Commander Gaius 4. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight 3. Messmer the Impaler 2. Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame 1. Bayle the Dread
Aside from my bottom 3 picks, I had a seriously hard time deciding the placement of each boss because they're all so good and I can imagine my opinions changing constantly depending on mood. Such an unbelievably solid line up of bosses and I can't wait to fight them all again on different characters. You earned a sub with this video and I am looking forward to seeing more!
Messmer and Midra will join my top bosses. Never been too much of a fan of dragon bosses although i can see the quality of the dread but from a personal enjoyment standpoint my favorite bosses in Elden ring are probably: Morgott Maliketh Rykard Messmer Midra Mohg
Some bosses have questionable hitboxes and animations overall, but none are actually bullshit, until radahn phase 2. There's too many little things I hate about this phase, mainly incredibly long š“šµš¢šØšØš¦š³šŖšÆšØ followup attacks that make the rolls you have learned in phase 1 basically useless, a couple of true combos that pseudo-1shot you, the fact that every single holy attack as well as miquella's hair blinds your screen, and how the phase transition happens at 75% hp… Could've been one of the greatest bosses in souls, but it's mid at best just because of the gimmicks of phase 2 smh..
You're kinda right about Messmer having less health in phase 2. What's happening is that when you hit him when he's turning from a serpent back into a human, it'll actually connect your attack twice, once for each model you hit. It makes a huge difference and feels very satisfying, so I'm hoping it's intended and doesn't get changed
The thing with radahn/miquella boss fight is that you really need the damage reduction talismans found within the dlc. It's really hard not to think that they did it so impossible on purpose so that you would go into the world and explore more
I beat radahn twice but unlike other bosses ive fought and found hard he felt frustrating like id die to messmer and itch to get back into the fight id die to radahn and want to break something that fight just makes me angry so angry i dont know why it just isnt fun for me
I just want to say thank you so much for not showing spoilers on the thumbnail! I have beat the DLC but know many people who havenāt and are trying to avoid spoilers. Top tier mate š
Putrescent knight took me about 50 triesā¦.i hated everything about him. Wanted to burn my Xbox. Beat him last night we both killed each other and it gave me the win. I still burned my Xbox.
3:18 Honestly Promised Consort Radahn phase 1 is excellent, phase 2 just gets ridiculous, the speed + the lights blinding you is a nightmare, all they'd need to do is slightly tone down the health, move phase 2 to 50% health and add a slight delay between the attacks, dont make it a cakewalk but make it more fair to be able to have a fighting chance. Other than that the DLC is the best we've had in years
Also Midra was fucking Goated, went against him using the Priestess Heart transformation, he was my last boss, Lord of Frenzied Flame Vs Lord of Dragons goes hard
Itās crazy how Radahn and Messmer are in the same DLC. The former having artificial difficulty and the latter being very tough but because he has an aggressive moveset.
Radahns first phase is so fun its everything i wanted from him. His second phase isnt even bad except for the light beams and think it would be a super fun and fair fight but still challenging without the giant fucking light beams every time he swings his sword. It doesnt even feel challenging like there doesnt feel like real progression, just luck if you somehow dont get hit. I dont mind his health but having to poison him being the main way to kill him just feels wrong. I love the design but again the light beams kill it for me
Midra, messmer and bayle are just amazing fights and fair. Radahns placement i disagree because while hes an incredible hurdle to overcome thats been overtuned. I think the fight is fantastic through and through, fun attack patterns, really high skill ceiling. Everything about the boss was everything i hoped for. A genuinely insane challenge for a final boss to finally prove that you are the true elden lord after blackgaol knight was rockin your shit for the first hour on the DLC š
The reason Messmer felt like he had less health is because when he takes off his helmet and armor in the second phase, he loses the defense and poise he originally had. In exchange though he gets those snakes.
While I can definitely agree that rhadan is insanely difficult, that is just why I would put him in at least the top 5. I have yet to beat him yet but love the challenge and i canāt wait to finally surpass him
you gotta roll into the charge for commander gauis, that was a fun fight imo felt kinda like gyobu from sekiro it was challenging but i thought it was pretty fair, just tricky to get the timing right sometimes
The thing with radahn. Is he has such a sick move set. Its all so amazing, but its got so many issues with visual clutter. That bastard hitching a ride on radahns back flashbanging me every 4.6 seconds so his big hunk of a husband can cut my head off is just disgusting. If i coukd see all his attacks i wouldnt have a problem with this fight.

Putrescent knight and radahn are the goat's, and your top three is valid

i hardly disagree with Dancing lion, i hate fight where camera is one of your enemies. and Gaius is my number 5 i liked him. agree with top 3 tho

This is the best ranking list Iāve seen so far
1. Messmer
2. Putrescent Knight
3. Midra
4. Giaus
5. Scadutree avatar
6. Rellana
7. Romina
8. Metyr
9. Radhan
10. Dancing Lion
I havenāt fought Bayle but I hate dragon bosses, only one I like is Midir.
I beat radahn twice but unlike other bosses ive fought and found hard he felt frustrating like id die to messmer and itch to get back into the fight id die to radahn and want to break something that fight just makes me angry so angry i dont know why it just isnt fun for me

I hate the commander boss, my least favourite
Radahn is like the second hardest boss after absolute radiance and the gap hetween those to is still huge lol
After fighting him for a few hours solo I fell in love with Radahn. Easily my favorite Boss in the game if not of all time
Putrescent knight took me about 50 triesā¦.i hated everything about him. Wanted to burn my Xbox. Beat him last night we both killed each other and it gave me the win. I still burned my Xbox.

Super valid list
Midra is far too easy to be that good. Barely get to engage with the moveset
Radahn criminally underrated itās one of the best bosses literally in the series not just in Elden ring
Edit: canāt believe that the low rating was because āitās hardā but at least bro said it could move up
Sir, do you need a hug? You sound tired and in need of a friendly hug.
Messmer is TOP TIER FromSoft boss design.
Itās crazy how Radahn and Messmer are in the same DLC. The former having artificial difficulty and the latter being very tough but because he has an aggressive moveset.

I can't beat the final boss. I'm gonna bang my head against the wall one of these days. but I'm determined to beat this fckng guy with Milady.

Just beat the final boss without spirit ash or summons. Just a man and his zweihander. Easily top 3 now!
ngl radahn is being overhated. top 3 behind midra and messmer
While I can definitely agree that rhadan is insanely difficult, that is just why I would put him in at least the top 5. I have yet to beat him yet but love the challenge and i canāt wait to finally surpass him
10k! My man! Great vid brotha.
i like how everyone in the comments agree on 2 things:
-Midra,messmer and Bayle are the top 3 best bosses
-Gaius is trash
I do think romina and scadutree avatar are kind of underrated. Based placement for the final boss because he sucks balls
