Shoutmon X7 VS Bagramon!! | Digimon Card Game: BT-11 Dimensional Phase Outbreak (ROUND 6)

This is Round 6 of the Dimensional Phase Outbreak, a tournament featuring 12 decks from the 11th main booster of the Digimon Card Game: Dimensional Phase. The next two decks to clash are the newly updated Xros Heart and Bagra Army decks. With the addition of X7 and mixing in certain elements of Blue Flare, the new rainbow Xros Heart deck is more midrange than aggro and can be considered slower compared to its older X4/X5-confused counterpart, especially with X4 now limited to 1. On the other hand, the Purple Bagra Army deck has received its 3rd general and king. And with more cards containing the Bagra Army trait, the deck is now more consistent and has access to a greater number and variety of disruptive control strategies. Will Xros Heart seal their superiority in stone? Or will Bagramon be able to claim revenge?

  1. Looks like fate didn't shine on the United Army, but to Bargamon (Not only thanks to the X4 Restriction, but how pointless X7 is). And with that, Round 1 finally concludes.

    Semi Finals:

The Jet Black Tamer Hunter, BWGX w/Yuua vs Primary Village's Chief and The Rusted Predator, Jijimon and RustTyranomon w/Taiga

The Parrel World Tactician, Mastemon w/Mieri vs The Forgotten Enemy, Galactimon

    And,

The Machine of Infinite Destruction, Machinedramon vs The Head of the Army and Boss of the 3 Officers, Bargamon.

The Semi-Finals are looking great. But, whose going to win? We may never know, yet anyway.

  2. Maybe a stupid question butt bagras tamer (Ewan) says you can plays up to 3 under something to reduce the play cost right ? How are you placing 5 or 6 can you stac both of them ??? That something i didnt even think of then

  3. Okay, now that I can sit down and give my thoughts proper:
Goodness what a tense match this was rooting for Bagramon. Knowing the power gap between them, every setback they faced left me worrying if they could make it back. Legit, I got worried when their opening rookie was Chuchumon instead of Soundbirdmon. But going through their entire deck, and using every tool at their disposal (except, ironically, Bagamon) they managed to take down the Meta-Defining Juggernaut. Pure cinema. Like Galgacicmon vs Sukamon all over again.

I'm surprised MusoKnightmon came in so clutch. I generally didn't think the card was that good since DarkKnightmon doesn't have much of a place in the deck & it doesn't play into the memory stealing side of the deck. But I guess I just really underestimated De-Digivolve, and how easy the effect is to get by just evolving into it.

So next round of match-ups should be Jijimon vs BWGX, Mastemon vs Galacticmon, and Machinedaon vs Bagramon, right? If so, then I know who I'm still rotting for in each match:
Come on Jijimon, Galacticmon, & Bagramon! You've all got some tough opponents in front of you, but I believe in you!

  4. Story time! On Monday I went to a Digimon store event for the first time thinking it was just a regular night, but they had a delayed BT10 prerelease. One round I got absolutely crushed so we played normal games after – my first time playing against a deck I hadn't built myself. This guy pulled out the Xros Heart deck he'd already managed to build… after I'd already picked (but not revealed) my BlackWarGreymon deck. It felt so great to take the terror down by just deleting all of the Tamers with cards saved under them. 😁

  5. Shouldn't Bagra Army lose? Because when MadLeomon evolves, you has to draw a card and if you can't draw a card from your deck,

your should automatically lost right? Or it could also be that I'm missing something.. But overall, this was really enjoyable~

  6. Ah dammit, I was rooting for Xros Heart, The X7 variants are so much fun to play.

Then again, I suppose with Xros Heart losing both Sunrize Buster and Shoutmon X4, the deck took a massive, massive blow. God knows Xros Heart is gonna be totally unviable in the western BT10 metagame because they honestly don't have any other options.

Welp, I'm rooting for Galacticmon and Machinedramon and Taiga from now on.

  7. Hell yeah! Barga Army actually won! It’s next match is against Mugendramon, huh. If Mugendramon plays smart, they’ll have the advantage here, but all it takes it one rookie or one Chaosdromon to derail the deck. Looking forward to it!

  8. Welll after so long bagramon truly show his power. Even after xross heart combining power with blue flare it's still not enough to defeat bagramon and his army. Little bit disappointed because i want to see bagramon effect still nice match.

  9. As someone who loves the bagra army deck, I'm very glad to see how this turned out! You did quite well with your plays and the duel itself. It was very entertaining to watch.

  10. A really fuckin fun duel, but there's a couple things I DO wanna complain about with the decklist for Xros Heart. I'll focus on one bit for now.

Namely, even though she's already been in the tourney, I'd say Mervamon would still be a better pick for the deck over two DX. Mainly because you can Digixros one Merva on a second one and potentially invalidate Xros Heart's weakness to De-Digivolution. Field-wide Blocker for Xros Heart, de-evo just means it regresses to a Merva, and etc.

Regardless, BLASTMON BABY LET'S FUCKIN GOOOOOOO

  11. I saw shoutmon+star sword in there and I wanted to ask since I can’t find this ruling, it counts as both shoutmon and starmons, does that mean that it counts as one or the other or it counts as 2 materials for digixros such as for x4 or x5

  12. Genuinely confused why it sounds like you are saying “GeeGreymon”. Regardless of whether you’re saying ZeigGreymon or ZekeGreymon, neither Zeig or Zeke sound like “Gee”

  13. Those matches are always so hype! I'm happy that the deck I was rooting for snagged the win. It's funny how the boss monster of the deck didnt join the fight, similar to the anime. Thank you for the great fights as always.
