Bearings are probably the only safe gift unless you really know what you’re doing. Everything else where you have choices of color or sizing issues are just too dangerous.

Your right about old liners mate, definitely designed as an afterthought and not comfy, I had Rollerblade dirks back in the day and the top of the liner had leather in it, after a while the leather came apart and went hard and wrinkled and it would slice the hell out of my ankles, totally rotten!

Look up "Smell Well", i use them in my snowboard boots and then later started using them in my skates. Makes the skates smell so god damn good and removes moister. Lasts for at least year, min has lasted 4, i am about to buy a new set soon for snowboard season. When the season is up throw them in my blades.

You are too hard on the wax brands. Even when Entente is certainly def not sponsoring Eugen at all they make some nice quality products. The pink BLADE CLUB wax is also nice gift. You mentioned that as if the church candle brands supported skating in any way.
Since I got my endless 100/110 frames this year from another rollerblader my wish list has some new FR boots that I can heat mold for a better fit for my short but wide duck feet and eventually some off road frames and wheels like the Kizer SUV 125.
