Scrub replay: Ground system helium issue stymies Starlink launch attempt from Cape Canaveral

SpaceX encountered a ground system helium issue at Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) during the final minutes prior the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket with another batch of 23 satellites for the company’s Starlink internet service. Liftoff from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station was scheduled for 4:57 p.m. EST (2157 UTC) on Sunday, Nov. 3.

The mission, designated Starlink 6-77, was set to be the 72nd launch of Starlink satellites in 2024 and the 104th flight of a Falcon 9 rocket this year.

Commentary was provided by Spaceflight Now’s Will Robinson-Smith, which began approximately an hour prior to the planned liftoff.
