The landing gear on this 5th wheel trailer collapsed while the owner was trying to hook back up to it in a parking lot and it fell to the ground. I brought the 4×4 wrecker out to lift it back up so he could re hook. Unfortunately the only thing to lift by on the front is the hitch itself, so I used an older flat strap that allowed it to still sit on the 5th wheel aged, then used a pry bar and a jack to slip it back out

Well done, Casey!
Quit the lift there young man. As you said it was a heavy unit. You got the customer on his way in short order.
That one was a bit tricky. But as my good friend @Ron Pratt always says, “there’s more than one way to do a recovery. “ 👍
The correct way to do this would be any method that does not get a person injured or damage any equipment. In other words, exactly what you did… And like otherers have said, not exactly a lot of places to pick one of those things up from.
Always a win for ice cream!😊
I love watching you use all your tools to solve tricky situations. Peace Out.
That was executed beautifully. I tow a 35 foot fifth wheel and have assisted other people in camp grounds that have experienced jack failures. Never to this extreme where a leg folded up. That was definitely Sketchy! But the camera can never show how comfortable one is with rigging, blocking etc…. Well done!! You are very good with your equipment and it shows. One wrong move and that 5th wheel could have dropped onto the box sides of his truck which judging by the looks of his truck has happened before. lol
some people have a victory cigar .. Casey prefers a victory ice-cream ( given the heat i'd choose the same ) .. lol
I think if it works and you come away un injured is a good job
Did you get your block of wood?😮
Did you just steal his pry bar off the side of his truck.🤣🍦
Well done Casey this was a prime example of why thinking outside of the box is a great thing. You got the job done and was creative on doing it.
Keep up the great work I had faith in you and never doubted you at all
Nice work Casey! Truck seemed quieter in this video or maybe it was just my imagination. Either way love to see the work you do.
Yea, Ice Cream makes everything better. 😀 I bet Riley would agree 😺 Give her a hug for me BTW. Hope you got everything with the new truck worked out as you said you had a job waiting on it. God bless you Casey.
Total win and go get ice cream!
I always put the wheel lift on the ground when using the book like that. no weight on the springs and the person can run over it if need be. Nice job. I also always carry jack stands with a plate welded on the bottom to hold things up if need be to unhook. Jack stands under the frame of the rv then he could just back into the hitch. People who do rvs allot carry heavy duty screw jacks so they can raise and lower from the frame. I always wanted some three stage bottle jacks for jobs like this. I carry a alm 3 ton harbor freight jack to use with my tollie dollies if needed also.
A bit of osessive compulsive disorder going on there! Just how many times do you need the check the trucks gear lever is in neutral?
I am not a big fan of lucas products yet their hyd seal softener and stop leak works great on ram seals.
Job well done with what you had to do it for sure. I ended up putting a line lock or brake lock on all my trucks so I could lock the brakes with pressure on the line as well as the park brake. works for hard pulls backwards. I think the best brake locks are call bucket truck brake locks. Nice job.
probably going to break the internet by using a 4×4 and a jack to lift trailer….. I would've done it the same way
put your wheel lift under it
Why wouldn’t you lift it to the hitch height. Then block it at the frame where the jackets were?
there seems to be no job you can't handle.. you're the best
Repairing that ram might not be that hard. We repaired outrigger rams on 15 ton hydraulic cranes without removing them by using the Loctite O ring repair kits which allow you to make an O ring by gluing it together sized to fit.
At 10:20 you used my favorite saying "go ahead, and back up", so witch do you want?
10.14.22 Nice rescue. I see that you must have gotten your fan fixed on the engine.
Gotta say that jack on wheels on the truck bed looked a tad bit sketch. But it worked.
Nice job Casey!!! I wouldn’t be surprised to see you towing some or all of that RV setup out of the forest on an upcoming cleanup day.
I love the body cam footage. Worked out great when you don’t have a helper
Now show me two late 80's eay 90's chevy or dodge trucks putting in work like these trucks
Nice work Casey.
13:52
that was sketchy but ya got it done, not many people would have helped that guy out, hope he can get that fixed. great video, yes i changed my name due to some stuff i was ungabungable before.
My choice of ice cream!
Looks like you could use a Burke bar
Why didn’t you clean up your oil mess
Creative recovery
Your main hydraulics leaking at 7:30 in the video
