@11:40 She was in The Mask.
Who thought that the concept of that candy was okay?
Do they have Vanilla babies to eat?
What about 2010โs โRobin Hoodโ with Russell Crowe & Cate Blanchett?
Youโre โHoodie Weekโ wouldnโt be complete without it.
Robin & Marion with Sean Connery is eh
31:45 "Is that a fox sound?" I think it's time for you to see the music video = Ylvis – The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)
you should watch the 1980 FLASH GORDON
I like Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. That's where my Mel Brooks tolerance stops.
My favorite part is when he slides into the Churchill WWII speech ๐
You need to watch Godfather!! ๐
Love this film
That kid screaming before the sherif shows up, he's jn teen angel very good show
Little John is a wrestler, rip, Sir Patrick isn't trying t ksound like conory he's just over doing it it's funny
Loved the reaction, especially how you seemed to relax and ease into the movie more and more as it went on ๐
However, I need to point out you really should change your voice levels vs the background movie. Half the time I couldn't catch what you were saying since the background speech from the movie was at same volume as your voice ๐
Also, didn't see others answer this yet, but the "patriot arrow" is in reference to the US's Patriot semi-homing Missile:
"Patriot Missile Long-Range Air-Defence System: Patriot is a combat-proven air defence system operated by the US and a number of its allies." -army technology website
ps. fun fact, King Richard that Sir Patrick Steward was playing, didn't actually speak English but French, as did all English rules at the time. Which makes Monty Python and the Holy Grail's French taunters even more funnier and accidentally historically correct
You should watch Spartacus (1960)
Yes the actor at the end playing King Richard is Sir Patrick Stewart of "Star Trek Next Generation" and as "Professor X" in "X-Men". A classically trained Shakespearean actor and English Lord.
Don't ever change your 'intro – outro' music. It fits this show perfectly.
"Is there a locksmith in the castle"!๐ As far as spoofs go. Men in tights is not Mel brooks's best work. I recommend the "history of the world"
Ok, is the start of October, net Mel Brooks film "Young Frankenstein' (1974) or 'Dracula: Dead and Loving It'(1995). Also at some point I suggest 'Blazing Saddles'(1974),' High Anxiety'(1977 Alfred Hitchcock spoof), and of course 'The Producers' (1967)or(2005)
Zoolander! No wait, the other movie with that guy in it. The Fokker guy.
How about Hide and Seek with Robert De Niro. That's about at the right level.
Young Frankenstein is a great Mel Brooks movie
By the way, the guy who played Little John also played Bob Duncan in Good Luck Charlie ๐
The ear that was thrown into Robin's clothes was thrown by the son of a crew men, and he was nervous he was going to get in trouble or get fired.
Now that you have seen spaceballs and men in tights, you have to see mel's best movie blazing saddles. Just be sure to check your 21st century sensibilities at the door, or expect to be offended by everything.
The only Mel Brooks movie I find funny is "High Anxiety" (1977), which spoofed Alfred Hitchcock movies.
Great reaction. Did you notice the position of Prince John's mole in 12:50, 13:51, 17:53 & 22:22? Hilarious๐๐
SNL hasn't been funny in 25 years. Unfortunately I think an awful lot of the references went right over your head due to age. There's nothing at all cringe about this movie.
Even before I start watching this I'm going to name that movie with Ben Stiller, Meet the Parents! LOL that was cute what you did!
Mel Brooks is definitely not my kind of humour either. It gives me horrible second hand embarrassment
Cary Elwes also plays the hero in Princess Bride, and I can't believe you ignored the Nike Air gag. This really was for those who grew up in the 80s.
Don Giovanni is a character from a Mozart opera. Also, Jersey in this case isn't New Jersey, but the island of Jersey off the coast of the UK.
On second thought…maybe you should watch "Young Frankenstein" for Halloween.
Blazing Saddles is indeed another of Mel Brooks' movies and it's one of his best, you definitely have to get around to that one.
Donโt know if anyone has already mentioned this but the Patriot Arrow is a joke referencing the Patriot Missile, a weapon primarily used in the Gulf War by the U.S.
I recommend the 1993 three musketeers
The top three Mel Brooks movies are; Blazing Saddles, History of The World Part 1, and (my personal favorite) Young Frankenstein.
โIโm not a witch, Iโm your wife!โ – amazing reference ๐
now you need to watch blazing saddles to finish the trifecta but major language warning
I can't believe this movie is almost 30 years old already!! I remember when it first came out on vhs (yes I'm starting to get old) ๐
I just wondered if you're going to do "Robin and Marian" with Sean Connery.
You definitely need to see Blazing Saddles. My favorite thing about this movie in relation to Blazing Saddles is the guy who plays the hangman.
