What is going on
At this point I'd even welcome another remake of Resident Evil 1 just so as long as its done properly and not rushed like the Resident Evil 3 remake.

This new RE sounds SICK and I’m so excited. It sounds like a mix of Village/Biohazard and the other legacy cast-centered remake games (2,3,4). I loved the cryptids and survival horror tone they injected into RE 7 & 8 and this new game sounds like more of that with the action of RE 4
I think Chris Redfield will be the main protagonist along with Jill Valentine but also Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield will be main characters to I think RE9 will be the game where we see all the characters together. I just don’t see Capcom not using Leon significantly or Jill due to her big return in death island and how they made it a big deal along with her not being able to age as rapidly and Leon Kennedy remake in RE2 and 4 have made him a fan favourite with new fans and he has always been the RE poster boy Chris Redfield Capcom always seem to love and he is another poster boy to being in RE7,8 and he makes sense as the connective tissue for 7 and 8 alongside the fact Capcom have plans for him being in future remakes of RE CV and 5 and Claire Redfield if they are doing CV remake it makes sense to have her interact more with her brother Chris and everyone wants to see her interact with Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy. RE9 seems like it will close the storyline with the main 4 taken out the connections who will somehow be connected to the events of Raccoon city, blue umbrella will be involved and BSSA could have Brandon from RE5 which could be getting a remake to pulling the strings.
I wonder if Leon and Ada will finally end up together?

I wish they would've made all the characters come together to defeat Wesker. Wesker's ending by Chris like that was a complete let down in RE5. I also think there's no way they release RE9 the same year as their biggest franchise MH Wilds. They want all the focus on that game. I say 2026 is when RE9 comes out.

If the Re9 leaks are true and this is the last game then I’m a little disappointed that Chris Redfield won’t be the main character. But oh well. Leon is cool too! And it’s been too long since Jill has been the main character of a Resident Evil game!

I'd be happy with either a completely new protagonist or leon/Jill, part of me would maybe prefer a new protagonist and all new story but just need me some more resident evil
Official information from the capcom data breach: RE9 wont be out until 2026, The main antagonist is a human titan. Wesker and Jill are the main characters along with a new nameless one. The game is ignoring the live action tv series with black wesker. Wesker is in his redemption stage. He is teamed with Jill so she can monitor how truthful his devotion to redemption is. Remake leak: RE5 is NOT being remade, Code veronica IS, and its 63% done using resources from from re1 remake and re4 remake.
