Unless Jimmy G. signed for far less money than Wentz would agree to, this makes no sense.
Matthew Stafford has a couple good years left. JG is a good backup. He can keep the offense going if Matt hits the turf and gets a concussion. Decent insurance. Look for a future QB after this season.

Looks like the Rams don’t plan on drafting a DB in the first round. As usual, they expect to build a defense around 5th and 6th round draft pucks. And the secondary will need to be a level better than they are now, since AD won’t be around to disrupt offenses.
And bet they don’t even draft a top kicker. And sure won’t pay a good one after the rookie contract is up.
