  1. To my favorite chef in the whole wide world, I would love for you to do a video on your popcorn balls Alton. Just in time for Halloween. I plan on putting peanuts and maybe some candy corn.

  2. Guaranteed to eliminate fruit flies – cheap and easy fix!
Buy a bottle of apple cider vinegar – it doesn't have to be any special kind, even the cheap stuff from Dollar Tree works (it's not for eating, so it doesn't matter). Put about an inch of apple cider vinegar in a few small bowls around the kitchen or other affected areas. Add a drop of Dawn dishwashing detergent to each bowl. Cover each bowl with plastic wrap, and poke the wrap with a fork to make tiny holes. The fruit flies will be attracted to the solution, go in through the holes, and drown in the vinegar. Change the vinegar/Dawn solution every 2-3 days until the flies are gone completely. πŸ™‚

  5. I never thought I'd see Madlib (whom I've been obsessing over for 2 years now) on any AB thing. Very cool. The only album they've played which I also own lol.

  6. Alton Brown and his PP, which stands for pocket pickle but in saying that i realize that explaining doesnt really make things any better.

i ordered a cabbage from groc delivery today and i got one as big as my head…. i make ground turkey tacos and dress it with raw cabbage but i will be able to crockpot some with pork chops.

i have always valued that in watching good eats all these years…i learned so many things including the genetics of cabbage abd broc and kholrabi. my mom grew those in her garden when i was little!

truthfully i use stuff you taught me daily. most recently that i remember was cooking pasta in tiny amounts of water.

dont forget to turn off your pickle before you go into church on Sunday. you dont want that damn thing yodelling in your pocket.

so to recap…i think about a man with a PP everytime i have a knife in my hand and or when im using fire. wheeeeee! πŸ˜‚

  7. I almost never peel carrots. Those you buy in a typical supermarket have already been washed and have negligible dirt on their surface. If you're using carrots from your own garden then, yes, peel them. Peeling a typical commercial carrot is a waste of time.
