Key downsides: unfitting speed values assigned to capital ships (Mothership moving 2 spaces??) and terrible design choice for squadrons — picking up 6 little models separately, while crossing others' hexes, looks like a major chore. Acrylic trays are a must with such a solution and buyers shouldn't be forced to organize such additional components on their own.
    It's a shame the starter set lacks defense field and drone frigates, since they were the only unique ships in the mirror set of Kushan and Taiidan fleets. At least 2 per side would make a difference. We get special faction features instead, so there's at least that. It also leaves space for more flavour in expansion factions like Turanic Raiders or Kadeshi.
    Why do Kushan get a multigun corvette model, while a heavy corvette is given to Taiidani? Details matter. Would be great to have a look at all the cards.
