Love the Cleveland Clinic Wellness center. Does Dr. Rimmrman see patients for wellness check-ups? I didn't like Dr. Roisen!
If you are interested in the rowing machine, it is currently $990 directly from the company.
Why these people continue to eat disgusting sardines & salmon, I'll never know! Even my cat hates salmon!
Chef AJ, thank you so much for bringing Dr. Curtis Rimmerman to our attention. It's always very exciting to meet another plant-based medical doctor, especially a cardiologist. The United States so urgently needs more plant-based cardiologists with the number 1 illness still being heart disease. He does remind me of Dr. Esselstyn; Dr. E. also said in order to advise his patients to go plant-based, he needed to be plant-based, as well. Ditto, Dr. Laurie Marbas. Dr. Rimmerman walks his talk, he brings his lunch to work, he works out. His answers to the Q & A were thoughtful and forthcoming when they pertained to himself. His answers to the viewers questions were detailed. I would welcome another visit from Dr. Rimmerman. Great interview!🙏💟💪
Does he work with a dietician for when he doesn’t have time with the patient?
Great program Chef AJ!!
Great interview
So great to see and hear of a plant based cardiologist. I'm 84 and in pretty good shape, with a pace maker. I have 3 years left on this battery. Seems like they have no blood vessel left to use for the leads. I'm told there is a new wireless system that they might try. If that doesn't work, then what? Love hearing from this man. Yes. Wish I could find a plant based doc.
Amazing interview of Dr. Rimmerman, my friend knows him and speaks very highly of him. Funny thing is while watching this interview I was on my rowing machine….not the Concept 2 but similar, and a lot less than $1600. I only started 2 weeks ago but I started at doing 1 minute, then the next time I go on it, I push myself to do more than the 1 minute…I'm up to 8 minutes now. I watched a lot of youtube videos on getting the form correct so I'm not doing it wrong. It is a great form of exercise.
For the person who gets orthostatic hypotension (dizzy standing up)…this can also be a symptom of dysautonomia/Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. It can also be associated with mast cell activation disorder. This is especially true post Covid infection in some susceptible persons as a viral infection can trigger the development of mast cell disorders.
Love how you labeled processed food as crap, Chef AJ! Crap is crap, indeed! Excellent choice of vocabulary!!! No BS! 🙏♥️👍👍👍🌱🌱🌱😅
To get more patients to eat more vegetables/ fruit he should have bowl fruit on his desk for patients to grab a piece fruit
I grew up with always fruit on counter and I did the same for my kids
Now my sons do the same in their home
😊
Any idea what might cause brief tachycardia episodes after waking up at night?
Love the bling, bling AJ! And, thank you, I eat plant-based, whole foods, organic, non-GMO, high fiber, low fat, low protein, no sugar, no processed, no alcohol and use filtered water. Not perfect about it, but certainly manage it 90% of the time, and need to focus more on exercise. I also take supplements such as ground flax, melatonine, B12 and a multi-vitamin, asweEnzyme Q10 and one or two others. Was vegetarian for more than sixty years, but I certainly feel a lot better as a vegan and I love Ezekiel bread too. For me, it is for ethical reasons no just health. I had Endometrial Cancer earlier this year and my Oncologist is totally impressed and says my risk of recurrence is only 4%. I have lost more than 40lbs weight, and am working on decreasing my comorbidities. My goal is to lose more weight and ride my electric bike 50 miles in one go. I am in my mid-seventies. Fasting is also on my agenda. The change from vegetarian to vegan was so easy. There are so many wonderful vegan cook books available as well as Plant based doctors on Youtube. Keep up the great job AJ! You are improving the lives of many people, well done!
Great interview! He has a wealth of information.
I really felt Dr. Rimmerman’s frustration about the bleak outlook of our healthcare system and desire to get plant based practices more widely adopted. He really cares so much. And it certainly is heartbreaking that more doctors haven’t gotten on board. But change is coming thanks to programs like yours, Chef AJ and Dr. Rimmerman, and documentarians and other responsible journalists. Sadly, it’s just such an enormous battle against the present food/restaurant/meat/dairy/sugar/drug industries that all benefit by keeping things as they are. Dr. Rimmerman, you are a hero!
I get in lots of trouble with cardiologist who are not plant based. I have beem PB 3 years. Need help to reduce by bp meds. Although my weight is considered fine I think I need to lose another 10 or 20#. Are you at the main campus?
Love this doctor!! Our country could be amazing if we could get everyone truly physically healthy as a culture❤
What a delight to get to meet Dr Rimmerman 😀 he really seems like a great and thoughtful doctor 🙂 his passion really shone through throughout the interview, but especially when he spoke about the system change he wants to see 🙂 thank you so much <3
I love my rowing machine. It is a kind of meditation.
💚❤️💚❤️
Aloha Chef AJ ❤
Incredible interview. I got so much needed information1!!!
Where is interview with his wife?
Did the doctor mean to say eliminate fat rather than eliminate carbohydrates for the 29 year old with hypertriglyceridedemia? Thanks
Chef AJ we have a used sports equipment store here in my hometown and you can get rowing machines etc for much less and they are good. Maybe not the this year model. But good! And cheaper.
I love this talk!
Chef AJ, you are doing a mitzvah with your work. Thank you!
@31:00 thank you for this! Registered Cardiac Sonographer here (I perform Echos all day) and the whole reason I got into doing them is bc it’s a safe and fast test that provides a ton of information. I love your channel Chef AJ! You’re such an asset to the community ☺️✌️🌱
This was one of the very best interviews to me. Great medical info and so practical !!! Loved it!!! Thanks to both of you!!!!
-central Wisconsin: regarding how to spread the news about eating healthier is better for your body, and spreading this news to doctors and the private sector, here are my two thoughts for starters:
— 1.). All Dr offices should show on their lobby TV’s, movies about how ADDING more fruits, vegetables, legumes, chia seeds, & flax seeds to one’s diet, and including the importance of drinking more water, plus the importance to read food & beverage labels, and the importance to minimize salt and sugar in one’s diet. All of which for the purpose of improve one’s overall health, AND include showing Healthy Eating Prep Cooking Shows (preferably whole food plant based cooking shows, showing how to make breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, deserts and beverages). This is a much better use of their lobby TV’s instead of showing game shows, the weather channel, and CSI shot-em-up murder type shows.
— 2.). All Dr’s (every type & classification, including ALL Medical Related Staff, should be required in their every 2-year Continuing Education Courses, be REQUIRED to take 2-courses on the benefits of ADDING more fruits, vegetables, legumes, chia seeds, & flax seeds to one’s diet, and including the importance of drinking more water, plus the importance to read food & beverage labels, and the importance to minimize salt and sugar in one’s diet. All of which for the purpose of improve one’s overall health.
…..See a theme here? Wink, wink.
Dr. Rimmerman is a great physician and educator on heart health! I really appreciate his insights and motivation to help us in the general public learn about heart health and good healthful eating at least in part, courtesy of his very wise and admirable wife!
Really great candid discussion. Gives a real life experience point of view.
Great cardiologist. Wish I could find one that good.
I got a Echo lite test instead of a Dexa Scan for my bones…it's a ultrasound and doesn't hurt you. I also have had a ultrasound ECHO stress test!
AJ your enthusiasm you show with each and every guest you h, is what draws me back. You positive attitude with your guests helps me feel positive and have confidence in your guest. So happy I found your Chanel.
