Pollinator and Habitat Conservation in North Carolina

NCWF’s Neuse River Hawks chapter hosts a presentation on the biology and conservation of native pollinators by Gabriela Garrison, Eastern Piedmont Habitat Conservation Coordinator of the NC Wildlife Resources Commission.

Gabriela Garrison has a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (with a minor in Forestry) from NC State University and a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech. In her role as Eastern Habitat Conservation Coordinator for the NCWRC, she works with developers, consultants and government agencies to develop ecologically friendly technical guidance and minimize impact to wildlife in a developing landscape. In 2017, she helped form the NC Pollinator Conservation Alliance (NCPCA), a partnership of over 25 conservation agencies and organizations, including NCWF, that works to promote pollinator and habitat conservation across the state.
