This was an early Experiment of mine from when I first got my SP404….and by Experiment I mean it….
I would describe it it as experimental synthy hip-hop…. constructed from samples of a street preacher and random drummers I found on YouTube plus myself playing my microkorg while running through guitar distortion pedals in particular my metal and fuzz pedals….and then chopping it up time/pitch shifting them and rearranging all the pieces on my 404.
As Oswald Spengler points out…..most civilizations are born out of intense Religiousness, only to go through a secular atheistic and “rational” phase which breeds nihilism and then as the civilization begins to die the people grow tired of “reason” and religion in some form inevitably returns….
As to what form this coming ‘Second Religiousness’ will take in Australia? While it is still early days, my money is on some form of Pentecostal/Evangelical Christianity mixed with some form of Folk Animism borne out of popular new age ideas and witchcraft….
This coming Christianity/Religion won’t be the same as the Bourgeois Christianity of the 1950s which itself was cuckolded to bourgeois cultural norms and Materialist metaphysics….
But will resemble the Religion and kinds of Christianity you find in Third World countries.
As the West (and Australia a long with it) continues to Decline and slowly turn into Third World countries we will end up embracing Third World types of Religion and Third World forms of politics.
This was the inspiration behind this Tune and as the name suggests I plan on making more tunes on the same theme.
