US President Joe Biden Thursday (19 October, 2023) addressed the America in response to the ongoing Israel-Hamas and Russia-Ukraine wars.
He said that the support for both wars is ‘vital for America’s national security.’ He would submit an ‘urgent budget request’ to the congress for supplemental funding for Israel and Ukraine, among other national security priorities.
‘That’s why tomorrow I’m going to send to Congress an urgent budget request to fund America’s national security needs – needs to support our critical partners, including Israel and Ukraine. It’s a smart investment that’s gonna pay dividends for American security for generations,’ says US President Joe Biden while addressing the Nation. He made an appeal to the American people to support two fellow democracies that he says are facing existential threats.

  9. No they are not the same. Every penny spent on Israel is an investment in future for sure, because Israel is ready to defend themselves even if there is no help from you. But Ukraine is a crybaby who always ask for support before even trying anything on their own. Ukraine will never win the war, they will only smuggle out every military technology provided to them by west.

  27. The intention is commendable and reasoning behind it sound. But when it comes to support for Israel, I have my concerns that those good intention may end up enabling actions that actually violate the principles of human rights these aids are meant to protect and uphold. Aid to Israel should come with big caveats, and sanctions should they be violated.
