the game seems to be pretty fun
the carrot didnt fill them up, but you spent an hour training while they were hungry so the hunger went away. that may have been a care mistake I don't remember neither did the bonus fill them, again it's because you spent a full hour training. I think that's why you got black agumon and gotsumon

Loving the play through, if you get a digivolution it'll clear hunger, and sleep for a few hours. Also you can fast travel in the town by using the map and lastly one of the shoulder buttons held allows you to fast forward dialogue, it's helpful for accidentally talking to someone.

Few hints to help you out with raising these:
Don't let their exhaustion get so bad that they have the sweating symbol. Every time that happens, it reduces their lifespan.
When you have partners that aren't at the same stage of digivolution, the lower one will receive a 'Growth Spurt Bonus' that increases the stats gained and places another block on the mini game (making it easier to get the 1.25x stat bonus).
When you train your partners in opposite stats (HP/Spd, Str/MP, Wis/Sta) you get the 'Rival Bonus' for both that increases the stats gained and places another block on the mini game (making it easier to get the 1.25x stat bonus).
To reduce their exhaustion in the field, buy the DigiIon Water from the vending machine on Nigh plains. Incredibly helpful to feed them when they are hungry.
When in the fields, talk to Tanemon (below Palmon) to plow your fields. It trains your mons (Str) and increases the quality of the field which, in turn, increases your crop yield.
When you're on the Training screen, press the L or R buttons to show the stats and exhaustion of your Digimon.
They will need to poo exactly 2 hours after eating
The lower the digivolution, the earlier the bed time. Just like humans.
There's basically a teleport feature in the game. I'm not certain of the controls on Switch but it opens a list of the places to travel and you just select it and POOF you're there 😀

No, all training bonus are the same, they stopped being hungry because one of them digivolves which reset both of their schedule for when they need to eat, shit and sleep
If u don't learn how to effectively train by battling, there's gonna be 6th or even 7th generation.
The colors on enemies can be highly misleading but generally only for red enemies. In other words i think some enemies will always be labeled red even if you can crush em
And that, ladies and nonladies, is why gym training is never the answer post in-training.

A tip to know when to go onto higher monsters is when your stat experience from monstersgets lowered.
