The Game has potential, but i wont be playing at release, maybe in around 8-12 months after things are more fleshed out and we have more knowledge about how they plan to improve and expand upon the game ill give it a try, based off of my previous beta experiences the game has a great core, but not much to do outside of it, with it quickly getting boring.
New world, while fun and having a very engaging moment to moment gameplay does nothing to innovate the genre or outshine any of the current MMOs (Story is almost non-existent outside of lorebooks, other games have better combat, and games like Runescape and Albion have extremely similar PvP content), and based off my previous beta expereinces(got a character to lvl 45) there are still tons of improvements to be made to most aspects of the game.

For some reason my computer which plays all games at max settings with a temperature of 62 degrees plays at 80 degrees on low settings for New World. I'm just going to pass in the game at this point.
I'm also seeing a lot of negative reviews pointing out how quickly players are already burnt out and there's really not much content. Honestly, a lot of people feared this would happen. I feel like this is going to be yet another MMO bust that will fizzle out completely in about 6 months.
Move my character where??? All the EU servers are overpopulated …. with 1000+ ppl in queue ๐
One of the issues why the servers are capped at 2k players is because of resources since they are for everyone and not for only the player.
If you take time off of work for the launch of an MMO the joke is on you
Here is the thing…it's 2021. I shouldn't have to wait hours/days from launch to play a game I paid money for. It's ridiculous. I hear so many "veteran" gamers say that "this is just how it is" and I think it's pure BS. The reason why companies get away with this kind of stuff is because we–as gamers–accept it as the norm. It shouldn't be–not in this day and age.
So, this is pretty much going as I expected…
For all of Amazon's money they can't buy semiconductors for their servers that don't exist.
Why people insist on jumping on "populated" servers in a new MMO is beyond me. The first wave of servers always end up being populated servers. So it doesn't matter what server you're on because there are only two possibilities, either the game is successful and the first batch of servers are always over populated or the game fails and you end up wasting your time.
Good or Bad Amazon is gonna use this all for Datacenter Servers Case Study. That wonโt matter as much if your in gaming, but 1-8 day queue time matters a lot and is absolutely nuts.
