New World Governor Tax POV Guide. Hopefully you are enjoying Amazon’s brand new MMORPG New World. With new world being completely different form other mmo’s it hard to determine what is best for your company. I will talk about how taxes are decided in company forts. Do a deep dive on how town boards upgrade the companies fort. There is the town upkeep section which increases territory standing. The upgrade fort section is to increase the defense of your town. By doing so town projects are activated for the town board. The Hamlet Upgrade section increases crafting station. Lastly the Improved Lifestyle Buff allows you to get gathering, crafting or combat buffs, all of which effect the town boards!

  1. Hopefully this guide helps you to avoid some sneaky tax confusion and corrupt companies from taking advantage of your hard earned gold! Anything else you feel should be added here? What is the worst tax experience you have seen?

  2. I think all players, regardless of faction or company, can see the governor's desk and planning table. You can even pay for town upgrades if you want, though it's a gold sink for you. I think the town upgrades are a minimum one day period but the quest numbers still need to be done. It's whichever comes first I suspect. Also, the two upkeep fees are once a week, and the minimum time until next payment is when the next weekly period would come up, you don't need to pay it on the first day. That's my guess from reading the tool tips.
