I have mentioned focusing on leveling up armoring in a few of my past videos so I thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know how I am maxing armoring. On top of letting everyone know what I think the best way to level is I also include a few tips and reasons for why you should consider leveling up one of your trade skills to make some great gear or huge profit. I hope this video helps someone out and let us know if there is something we could of done better or included to make the video better!

  1. So this is an odd tip but if you haven't touched armory yet but have it at like 5. If you do all the quest in cutlass, Brightwood and weavers fen you get a quest line to make light/medium/heavy armor.

I got from 9 to 60 doing these quest it's not really wroth it if you have already started but it's free and requires no materials.
Make sure to save all the armor pieces as you craft each set because you can make an upgraded version of each armor that 495 lvl 54 gear.

  2. Some errors in your guide:

Unless you actually calculate that crafting infused silk stuff is the cheap way to go on your server because a lot of people pushed 200 weaving and dumped it afterwards (helped by the recent massive influx of reagents), it is often cheaper to just make the level 0 stuff that uses linen/coarse leather/iron ingot in a gold/xp ratio. Yes, the crafting animation will take more time, but you can just watch some youtube.

Most servers have at least one organized guild with a lot of members, where one or more have pushed their singular crafting skill to 200 a while ago. They will be able to make a good profit doing what you suggested (selling high-end crafted gear) but by the time regular players can do that, undercutting will have made any profit disappear with the way the tradepost functions.

The named items that you can craft (blue/purple/legendary items that require fixed items) have a fixed gearscore unaffected by trophy boosts or other boosts. The 590-590 gauntlet you showed will always be GS 590 with the exact stats shown while making it.

Arcana wisps can be very expensive depending on the state of your server relative to rawhide/fiber, and oil too I'll have to pause the video in the earlier bits to compare, but its highly unlikely it is efficient to use your motes for this. They are much better used to make stuff like focus potions or cut gems and other stuff.
Quick calc: 4 coarse + 4 linen + 1 iron ingot = 108 xp, and salvaging will return some of these materials. Expected cost without salvaging return: about 4.20 gold
Cost of motes potion: 0.50 + 0.50 + 1 = 2gold for the 36 xp. multiply by 3 to get same xp total as above, cost = 6 gold and you do not get a salvaging cost reduction after.

Also, I believe that chest uses the least iron relative to the others so make that over gloves anyways.

  3. Going for gloves seems quite unwise. Everything takes 1 iron ingot, and iron ingots are the hardest of the materials to obtain. I think you're better off getting the most out of each ingot, and in that sense gloves are the worst thing you could pick, chests are the best.
